Went here for a Valentines Day and had incredible food! We ordered the salmon flight, two rolls (kaizen and albacore rolls) and an order of otoro nigiri that was on the weekly specials list. Everything was played beautifully, and the fish melted in our mouths. One could even say the fish, they be delish. I also had the Harmony cocktail, which was very well balanced.
The service was quick, friendly, and attentive – our server informed us of their specialties in imported fish. Ambiance was pleasant as well – all the decorations were beautiful and matched the vibe. The prices were very reasonable for the quality of fish.
Overall, I would highly recommend for any special occasion, or if you really just need to treat yourself to high quality fish.

The best Sushi restaurant I’ve been to in Portland, food was amazing. The rolls were big with plenty of fish, the topping proportions were excellent. The staff was incredibly friendly, always made sure we were taken care of. Jordan was our waiter and he went above n beyond. He really knows his fish, told us a story about the salmon from Japan that was on the menu. Was cool to have a back story about the fish and its life before hand, when we ordered our rolls he had a ton of knowledge about each and what made each of them unique. You could tell he takes pride in his job and pride in himself just by the way he carried himself. He even surprised us with a boat for all our rolls. Spent about 80+ and got close to 40 speciality rolls. Great deal

Small spot near Burnside with limited space. Amazing offerings including a list of seasonal items. We always get edamame and miso soup. We also got the hamachi carpaccio which was excellent. We got three rolls which were all very nice; the naruto maki, the kaizen, and the b-side were good for diffent reasons. The naruto roll was cucumber wrapped, which was hard to eat but delicious and i would order it again. The kaizen was the overall best, but the scallop was tender and fresh on the bside, they were all very good. Highly recommend

DELICIOUS! This is the BEST sushi I’ve had in a LOOOONG time! Bravo! Fresh-tasting clean fish in the sushi rolls, with the Correct amount of rice on the rolls, not too much, not too little, but the perfect amount! Green tea with that toasted sesame flavor! MmmmMmm! The Kaizen roll was the BEST roll in my opinion. VERY yummy, Highly recommend! Sorry I didn’t take more & better pics before I dove in!

This restaurant was a nice surprise. The food was fresh, well presented and very tasty. Attentive service and nice atmosphere. Highly recommend.
Street paid parking is about $3.5 an hour and there are plenty of options from street parking to private lots.

Very gluten aware. The crab uni ikura bowl was a standout of those are your three favorite things on earth. Very fresh and generous portions. I will be back

Our family was in town for our daughter’s gymnastics competition and we ate at Kaizen afterwards for lunch. Everything about our experience was excellent! Our server Jordan was attentive, informative and so kind. Our sushi chefs did an incredible job on everything we ordered. Our kids love sushi and it was so fun to expose them to such high quality and flavorful dishes from the Chef Premium Plate (fresh wild caught from Japan and Hawaii) to the inventive rolls served on a giant boat, it was an absolute winner of an experience from start to finish! Our kids said it would be worth the 2.5 hour drive from home to come visit again! Highly recommend! Thank you, Kaizen!
