Nice place but still a work in progress. Friendly and efficient staff. Food is good and reasonably priced. Water is bottled but only costs a buck. Huge tenderloin is good and serves two average persons. They must have live music on the weekends and stay open late. They had soft jazz playing when we were there mid-afternoon, which was a pleasant alternative.

I cant stress this enough. Its the best tenderloin I’ve ever had. Tenderloin with cheese, fries, soda and extra bun and toppings. $17.88. Its an absolute steal. Has a stage for live music. Bar area and pool tables. Plenty of space. Will be back for a beer and try their wings out.

A great, new, hidden gem. Go check them out! What we ordered was fantastic! Chicken and waffle, and the tenderloin. We will definitely come back and try out other stuff. You can tell the owner loves what he does.

I’m posting this review late as normal.

**Edit for review of catfish and chicken and waffles at the end.

My husband and I went last Friday (12-12) to try the place out. They were very busy with dine in and carry out orders. I’m glad they started advertising because we hadn’t even heard about the place until yesterday.

The building is a former mechanic’s garage. It’s not a luxury dining establishment but is clean and well maintained. The decor is what you would expect. I felt right at home.

The women’s restroom was suitable for the type of building.

Pros:

The owners are very nice and attentive to the patrons.

Tenderloin was delicious. They are cut from a loin at time of order and dredged before frying. The breading has just the right amount of seasoning. The tenderloin is not pounded super thin like a lot of places. I would guess it’s about 2″ thick. It was moist but not greasy.

Cons:

The burgers are thin boughten patties and lack flavor.

Buns: They definitely need to find better buns to serve sandwiches on. They are dry and crumbly.

We waited for over an hour to get our food but later found out they sold a crazy amount of food that day. I know a lot of people would say that’s no excuse but there is a learning curve so give them a try. I have to say that the tenderloin was worth it if you can plan on some extra time.

Pro/Con combo:

I ordered a burger and it was way over cooked and dry. I made mention to our server and they cooked me another one. I wish they would have asked before doing so but it was nice of them. The replacement burger was much better but I still didn’t care for it.

Water is bottled for $1.

Another pro/con for me, the fries. I enjoyed that they were fresh cut but since they are cut tiny you get more grease than potato.

Because I used to run a restraunt and worked in the medical field, this is a big pet peeve of mine everywhere I go. Just because you have gloves on doesn’t mean you can operate inside and outside of the food area without washing hands and putting new gloves on.
I also did not like that customers had to go to the food window to pay their ticket. That needs addressed in my book.

Conclusion:

We will definitely be going back to try the wings and catfish. I’m sure another tenderloin will be on the agenda also.

***Edit

We went back and my husband had chicken and waffles and he enjoyed that. Said the chicken batter was well seasoned and didn’t flake off of the chicken. He said the waffle was nothing to brag about but a decent one.

I had catfish and mac and cheese. I was disappointed in both items. The fish was very muddy and lacked flavor other than muddy fishy fish. Some of you know what I mean when I say that. The mac and cheese was hot but was just a mushy pile of noodles with lots of cheese.

They have added new items to the menu.

We will be returning for another tenderloin but I’m having onion rings this time.

If you like tenderloins, I strongly recommend you give them a try.

Went for first time today and this place is great and going on our list!! Tenderloin was delicious along with the fries. The greens were superb. He had catfish and it was spot on. Felt very welcome there like at your momma’s house, love the music and vibe. We are already figuring out what we want next time which I hope is real soon!!

Our first visit was a such a surprise… needed a tenderloin fix and I got it, and then some. The tenderloin was large enough to fill 3 buns . Cooked just right… the fries were a little on greasy side for my taste, but the tenderloin was wonderful. Owner, his Moma and the rest of the staff were friendly. The place is an old garage converted to A bar and grill. They have live entertainment on weekends… appears they are still working out some of the kinks, but the food isn’t one of them
