Where do i start…. The prices you can find online and on flyers are completely outdated. Which in itself isn’t so bad… except for the fact that the food isn’t even worth the original price point. Once opening the carton, you’re met with majority cardboard. A tiny portion of chicken, a tennis ball sized portion of rice, and some sad grilled vegetables. The taste was alright… the rice was mushy and overcooked and the chicken was nothing special. You don’t get much time to decipher its flavors considering it’s enough for maybe 3 bites at most. It was alright. Mediocre at best. But not worth the absurd amount of money for mediocre food and a gnome sized portion.

But the truthful review is that our food was cold when it arrived. They were out of a couple menu items. I had questions about the menu but had no one I could ask, because you order from your phone when you sit down. It also took about an hour to get our food. So actual rating is 3.5/5 but I’d return. And I’m looking forward to seeing them succeed.

Finally stopped in after wanting to try for months and I wasnt disappointed. The food is fantastic and one of the only places in town to get some Japanese sandos. Service was quick and friendly and the price is very agreeable. The atmosphere is younger, grunge art, dive bar ascetic which might turn off the older crowd but great if thats your vibe. Over all stop by and have some delicious katsu sandos, you wont be disappointed

I’ve waited so long to try an Japanese egg salad sandwich, after Fat boy sando’s closed down I thought I’d never get the chance. How ever since Katsu House opened up in the Brick Box Brewery I finally got the chance and tried the Teriyaki Chicken Onigiri as well. Very chill place, also the Brick Box Hop water is awesome! Best Hop water I’ve had.

So first off, don’t go off the menu photos on here, there outdated. Everything is doubled in price. I ordered a few onigiri a few sandos no fruit ones tho cuz they were all out apparently.. anyways, sandos were ok at best.. just think white bread, cabbage and an unseasoned chewy pork cutlet.. and as for the curry sando the curry was non existent… the onigiri was a complete waste of time and money about the size of your palm but 2x smaller. The filling was laughable.. over all I spent a 100 dollars and left with 4 onigiri and 4 sandos lol fool me once shame on me but fool me twice.. yall wont have the chance. Stay away from this place.

Been wanting to try this spot for awhile and finally made it in for lunch. Had the Japanese Dog and Curry Chicken sandwich. They did NOT disappoint. Incredibly fun combinations of flavors and textures. I’ll definitely be back. Now I need to take a little afternoon siesta.

First off, what an inspiring story of a couple putting it all on the line to make a dream happen. Started as a food truck and then made it big time in BrickBox Brewery. Couple-owned, amazing business serving up Japanese food with a at-times American twist. Better than the stuff you see online in Japanese convenience stores (get the egg Sando!). Rafael and his wife are doing amazing work here, and are super friendly and down to Earth. Keep this place alive, they are doing great things here in Tucson. 10/10

Well, I wish I could tell you what the food was like. But half the menu was missing. They had that all crossed out. Mainly the stuff I wanted to try. And the sandwiches that they had were not your traditional Japanese milk, bread sandwiches. And it had the crust on it, which if you’ve ever gone to Japan you know those sandwiches don’t have crust on them. So we walked out and went somewhere else. Very disappointing because I was really looking forward to a Japanese sandwich. And some really good Japanese food.
The atmosphere is the vibe when we walked in felt very kind of uncomfortable like it was a neighborhood bar versus an actual comforting place that’s welcoming. Just our feeling could’ve been there at the wrong time wrong date. I don’t know.

Ordered 50$ worth of food and threw it all to the dogs. The chicken came cold and tasted frozen and unseasoned even though i originally ordered pork, the egg bowl was horrendous and was unable to decipher what was even in it. The only thing decent was the fruit sandwich but its bread cream and fruit so a 5 year old couldnt mess that up.

The pictures on Google and the flyer I was given are outdated and the prices have doubled. The katsu chicken is chewy, bland and overpriced.. also the amount was ridiculously small. Not to mention when I nicely told the cashier that the price online is cheaper she just ignored me and gave attitude.. Don’t waste your time or money here.
