I’m so impressed with the service I received today! The two young ladies working were amazing! they greeted me right away and I noticed one of them preparing fresh chicken on the grill. I asked if I could wait for that batch before placing my order, but she kindly assured me that the chicken already in the canister was fresh and hot. She even offered me a sample so I could taste for myself! She told me that if I wasn’t happy, I could wait 30 minutes for the next batch to cook thoroughly.
She was absolutely right…the food was delicious, and the chicken was perfect. The food is always great here, but today the customer service truly exceeded my expectations. Thank you, ladies, for your kindness and professionalism!

The Halal Guys – Excellent Experience!
Had a great experience here! The service was fast and friendly, and there’s plenty of parking available, which makes it super convenient. The ambience is clean and welcoming — perfect for dine-in. The gyros and rice bowls are flavorful, fresh, and perfectly seasoned. Definitely worth visiting if you’re craving delicious halal food!

I love their chicken and gyro combo platter. Their white sauce can’t be compared. Some advice: If you want to try the hot sauce, first add a little bit to your plate. It’s hotter than jalapeños. They have to-go sauce packets, which are perfect for first-time customers.

It’s been several years since going to a Halal Guys, so when on Duke Street recently and seeing this place, I stopped in for lunch. Service was friendly and “textbook” in nature! The place was clean and well-stocked. The food was just “ok.” The lettuce wasn’t as fresh as it should have been. The other items in my bowl were lacking a robust flavor, including the spicy BBQ chicken, which had a heavy BBQ taste (which was nice) and lots of heat (which was also nice), but that was it and the texture was questionable. The Baba ghanoush was pretty bland and had a nasty texture. The pita slices were wet/wimpy and bland too (they didn’t need to be crispy, but they should have been a little stiffer and “dippable” in structure).
Overall… With their basic menu and small amount of options as toppings, I doubt I’ll be back anytime soon – Which is sad, because the concept is great and they could really do so much better.

I just moved to the area and had never heard of The Halal Guys before, but as a big fan of Mediterranean food (especially hummus) I decided to give it a try. Unfortunately, my experience yesterday was extremely disappointing. While I stood under the “Order Here” sign, the two employees working completely ignored me. After several awkward moments, one of them finally made eye contact, said something in another language to her coworker, laughed, and then went back to ignoring me. That was enough for me, I walked out and got food elsewhere.
Customer service matters and this was a terrible first impression. I won’t be back.

My husband and I frequent this location fairly often but today I had to give a review because I got the best service from the two young ladies. They were great and as always the food is always good.

Come with me to check out the world famous “The Halal Guys”.… I visited their Alexandria, VA location and had a great experience.
The Halal Guys first opened as a hot dog cart in 1990 in NYC, then pivoted to selling halal food to Muslim taxi drivers. On the corners of 6th and Avenues of America, bloomed a booming street food cart that was once a favorite to cab drivers, the late night crowd, locals, tourists, and celebrities!!
Now we’re lucky enough to experience their delicious American Halal food all across the globe, with locations throughout the DMV.
The Halal Guys is a global enterprise, with over 400+ new restaurants in development worldwide.
Their food is delicious, full of flavor, and filling.
Don’t forget the white sauce!
Next time you come across one of their locations, be sure to check them out.

Delicious healthy food served quickly and from a friendly face. Had a chicken platter and tried the Baklava, both were tasty and well made.
Watch out for the hot sauce as it was very hot, delicious but hot.
I wish they had one closer to where I lived, just gotta hope work brings me near by again.

Ridiculously small portions and MASSIVELY overpriced mid middle eastern food. Pretty inexecusable for there being so many other great local middle eastern residents in the DMV. Won’t be back.

Food: Very delicious 10/10. I took the regular chicken & gyro combo. Chef’s kiss! If you also like spicy sauce, get it on the side cause it’s SO spicy! (And this is coming from a person who eats spicy food all the time).
Price: $12.5
Staff: Very friendly and welcoming. They were also so generous while filling my plate. Thanks, James!
Cleanliness: I had my meal as dine-in and the place was so clean and tidy. ✨
