The best Haitian restaurant in the DMV, hands down . The food was perfect! I ordered the Haitian legume with goat and sauce pwa, and they did not miss on the goat — which made me very happy lol. My partner got the snapper with black rice and loved it.
The restaurant itself is really cute, and the staff are warm, welcoming, and offer great customer service. They also host events, so depending on when you go, you might catch a little vibe.
Overall: 10/10 — highly recommend!

I’ve tried dishes from every Haitian restaurant in the DMV (there aren’t that many), and this one is by far at the top of my list. I ordered fried goat, black rice, and a side of macaroni gratin. The goat was well-seasoned and tender. The black rice looked great and had a perfect texture, but the coconut milk overpowered the mushroom flavor. While the rice was still edible, it didn’t have the traditional taste I was expecting. The macaroni gratin, however, was five stars! They were generous with the portion size. The restaurant itself is spacious, making it an excellent spot for parties or large gatherings. My only issue is that the restaurant doesn’t serve griot, which is a shame since it’s Haiti’s national dish.

This is hands down the BEST Hatian food I’ve ever had!! I had such a great experience here from the moment we walked through the door until it was time to leave! First, I absolutely love the ambiance of the place. It’s very nicely decorated and the music played really gives a nice atmosphere. Secondly, the customer service here is phenomenal! Everyone is so polite and kind when you walk in, giving such a nice greeting! We had the pleasure of being served by Beverly and she was truly an angel, absolutely amazing! She was so kind and answered every question we had and made some great recommendations. Now to the food I can’t fully explain how good and flavorful everything was!!! We were first served this hot fresh bread that tasted really good. We ordered the cod fish creole patties which I highly recommend you try! They have some spice to it but it’s seasoned to perfection! For the entree I ordered the stewed chicken entree (best I’ve ever had) which came with rice and beans (very good), banana peze w/pickliz, and a salad. The portion sizes are large so get ready to eat and have leftover! My husband ordered the legumes stew with turkey entree that came with all the other sides I mentioned above and he absolutely loved it! Lastly, we ordered rum cake and chocolate lava cake for dessert! Both tasted so good and rich!!! The prices here are so reasonable, especially for the amount you receive! Kisses to the chef The chef even came out and spoke with us! Great guy for sure! I highly recommend trying this place out! No long wait times l, great food, great atmosphere, and great customer service!

It’s was good, the textures were what I wanted, the flavor wasn’t completely there but still good! The portions are more than enough, I definitely felt like it was well worth the price. I’ll be back.

My husband got goat with white rice and bean sauce….Got home and would you look at that? He had NO MEAT. He called them at least 47 times to give them a head ups, the charge will be disputed. You would know that if you answer the phone. If I want to eat plain rice and bean sauce, I can just make that myself. Thank you.
EDIT: I would like thank the restaurant for making things right with my husband. He came on another day and they did give him a full free meal. For that, I can say excellent customer service. Some places will just keep going and not care. So they do pay attention to your reviews and will try their best to correct if needed. The taste of the food or portion was never an issue because they have great food. It was just the one time with the mishap. We live in Glen Burnie so it’s a long way for us. He specifically goes to this restaurant for the food. Thank you for the service.

I ordered oxtail with plantains, and for $27 I received only three small pieces of oxtail. That was very disappointing given the price, as I expected a more generous portion. Opening my plate and seeing so little meat was discouraging. The oxtail was also a bit too salty, and the pikliz lacked the bold flavor I was expecting. As someone born and raised in Haiti, this experience was truly disappointing.

This is how I envisioned the Haitian restaurant to be like, today I was in the area and brought my family then come to find out my old friend is behind that chez d’œuvres, the food was Absolutely DELICIOUS and no long wait time, the customer experience was awesome. My family enjoyed the experience, nice vibe, very spacious place with large screen TV, nice Haitian konpa, just beautiful. This made me look like a genius I might get lucky tonight lol. I will definitely bring my crew there soon for a fun Saturday evening.
Kudos my brother!
