Honestly the best pho in the DMV. Every other spot either has inconsistent days eith their broth, or its routinely not strained enough – very fatty. Pho 81 takes the time to take care of their broth properly. It always tastes the same – perfect. I’ve come here more times than I can count over the last couple years and I’m telling you, they’ve never had a bad or “off” day. It. Always. Tastes. Perfect. They learn your tendencies and do what makes you happy without even having to ask. This is the most consistent, delicious and welcoming pho restaurant I’ve ever been to. I dont know why it took me so long to write a review but its deserving.

Very nice authentic Vietnamese place. Food came quickly enough and was tasty. My fried rice with shrimp was excellent, but my husbands chicken with vermicelli noodles was missing something, hence the 4/5. The place itself was clean and pleasant and the staff friendly and competent.

as someone who is Vietnamese, I would say this is great pho spot! $14 for a small bowl of the house special pho with all the meats. really filling (they don’t skimp!) and good broth for the price. service was friendly and attentive despite being a little busy during dinner time. the place looked clean.

Has a bit of a limited menu compared to other places but they executed the food very well. The summer rolls were good but a little heavy on lettuce. The pho was very good the broth was full of flavor and had a little bit of oil on top which makes it all the better. The service there was good and the people are welcoming.

There’s something about cold, rainy weather that just makes you want a good soup and this little spot never disappoints! Been here more than a few times and the food is always fast, fresh and delicious. Never tried anything beyond their selection of beef pho and probably never will. The staff is great, the music is good, and the food is delicious. I ordered the summer rolls with a large bowl of pho (I recommend both). As someone who has been eating pho for a long time it was tasty as expected. If you’re around and enjoy Vietnamese cuisine take a chance here.

Looks totally unassuming, but man is it good! The store front may lack atmosphere but it makes up for it with great food.
I love the pho, and we get the summer rolls and Thai iced tea too. The pho is flavorful and hot and comes out fast! The broth is so good, probably my favorite in the area, loads of spice and flavor. And the summer rolls are beautiful, with gorgeous shrimp you can see under thin wrappers. Soup portions are generous with oodles of toppings. You get like a whole basil plant with the soup. Prices are super reasonable, you can get a great meal for under $10.
Service is great, the counter guys are super friendly. Would definitely go here all the time for pho. Do definitely go here all the time.

Pho store with a very basic menu and very basic pho. I like pho but of the pho stores I have had in the area this probably ranks lower. Not that it is bad, but if there are other options I would eat the other options unless I really wanted to eat pho.
