Darbar restaurant is no more, it’s taken over by different management, and the name is changed to Himalayan Cuisine. Google hasn’t updated the restaurant name and service offered.
We were looking for a Darbar restaurant and one of the servers told us that the management has changed and there is no Darbar restaurant.
We were so hungry and decided to eat Himalayan cuisine. I wasn’t happy with the food at all. Ordered lamb kebab and briyani. The lamb kebab where undercooked and super hard. Felt as if they were just cooked on high flame in tandoori to give it a color. Briyani had a different flavor altogether. And the quantity seems to be less. Felt like the cook wasn’t interested in cooking. Just served some mix of leftover rice and meat with chopped onion as garnish.
The server had no idea about the food and then told him that I meat is undercooked he looked puzzled as he didn’t understand what I was trying to tell him. To compensate he gave us complimentary sweets and $10 off our order. I also ordered tea. Tea was microwaved and served.
I had the worst experience and I don’t plan to walk in again.

I ordered Chicken Tandoori Biryani and it was delicious. The chicken was so soft and juicy. Although this Biryani is pretty different in taste and in presentation than most Biryanis – No raita and spicy curry on the side and also seems to have some tomatoes I felt.
Try their chicken tandoori, you’ll love the way it’s presented
The owner is very kind and friendly. This is a very old family owned restaurant who belong from Lahore.
I believe the lighting in the restaurant can be improved, it feels a bit dark, there is a mess of wires and electronic systems visible from many tables and the restaurant walls needs to be painted. So no cozy or romantic vibes!

We got chicken tandoori biryani and it was delicious! The chicken seekh kabab were good in taste but a bit dry, not juicy at all. The chicken wrap was not the best; the wrap was made of tandoori roti and it was a mouthful and then really very little chicken pieces inside and full of lettuce. Compared to other restaurants who charge minimum $15 per food item, this place has good tasting food and lower prices.

Best authentic pakistani biryani in the US!!! We travelled all the way from Houston just for their biryani. While we were visiting for the second time , Mr. Khan gave us a taste of some yummy samosas and rice pudding & they were equally delicious if not more. Highly highly recommend their biryani and kheer
* Could’t resist eating biryani as soon as it came to our table, hence theres no picture of it *

I work down the street at MAC’D. While I was reading the Lunch Buffet sign outside of Darbar, a lady passing by me said “It’s worth it. All you can drink Chai too.” Well I was sold. I came in. I ate. I am still here at Darbar as I write this review. Not only am I impressed with the friendly service and the all you can eat food, I am impressed with the prices. Eating lunch at this restaurant is affordable, not something many SF restaurants can claim. If you’re still reading this review, definitely go in and eat at Darbar.

Had an excellent lunch there and can’t beat the price at 9.99. The tandoori chicken was some of the most moist I’ve had in the city. Also the lentils were rich in flavor to go along with the fried veggies. The mango Lassi was a great way to end the meal. Also the rice pudding was sweet and pairs well with the chai tea.
