This is my personal favorite Chinese takeout in mount pleasant. I have been asking for extra spicy gen tso chicken for years, and this is the first place to ever actually make it spicy. They are fast and very consistent. I have never felt like my food had been prepared earlier and just shoveled into a container when I order it, it’s always fresh.

My sister called this an 8 or 9 out of 10 for Charleston Chinese takeout. Love the fact that you can add egg to the fried rice (it should always be included ). Many places leave this out. General Tso has a nice little bite. A lot of times it has no spice. Was told hot and sour soup was good and that is how she rates these kinds of places. Krab wontons were hot and not greasy ( which also happens a lot ).

I am very glad. We use to come here but wife had a bad experience. Friends told us they got it and was good so we gave it another try. Not sure if it’s under new mgt or just new people waiting but whatever it is – it is working.

I fed 6 adults in Mt P for a little more than $10 per person. Great value.

Anyone leaving a bad review saying the food is bad has the tastebuds/palate of a 5yr old.
I have been going to this Chinese restaurant for well over 8yrs and EVERY SINGLE TIME its on time and so freaking delicious. My entire family loves it. They’re friendly. Its clean. And has amazing food.
Highly recommend the boneless spare rib.

Sorry for this rating but, I have traveled all around the world and have never tasted hot and sour soup with pieces of celery or zucchini in it and it is not as light in color as I had. The crispy noodles were stale and there wasn’t anything beyond cabbage in the egg roll.

I really miss excellent and tasty Chinese food.

Spring rolls had basil in them and were so oily. They were awful. Hot and sour soup had sliced uncooked zucchini in it?? Pancit was so bland even though it was Singapore style. This is the worse Chinese food I have ever had. I went because my usual, Hunan, was closed. What a huge disappointment, Golden Bowl.

We love the Golden Bowl! Their food is so good that I can never get a picture because my kids can’t wait. The smell alone will draw my kids to the dinner table. Also as a bonus, it’s insanely easy to order online and food is always ready on time. It’s our go to for Chinese food!

First time, last time. The fried food was soggy; the pan-fried dumplings are made with wonton wrappers (not dough) like amateurs would use and fried in a dirty pan; and the spicy pork with vegetables was ALL onions, 3 strips of green pepper and probably 1 ounce of pork (see photo) and was NOT SPICY. Where was the broccoli, mushrooms, etc? My husband ate his chicken chow mein because he was starving. We were so hopeful but it ended up being a waste of money.
