Aces Bbq is a family owned restaurant that’s been serving the Rio Grande Valley for 10 yrs. with 3 locations . We serve Brisket (smoked 14hrs) , pull pork, smoked chicken, sausage, baby back ribs, smoked turkey, fried catfish and fried shrimp along with some Mexican speciality’s like brisket enchiladas, brisket taquitos etc. . We also serve a verity of sandwiches that are very popular with our guests and last but not least is our homemade peach cobbler and banana pudding!!

It was 4 o’clock afternoon on a Friday. No one is in a restaurant. I’ll order a fideli loco and it was delicious, but the waitresses are too busy shouting away on a second time I asked for something one of the waitresses turned around and said yelling what!!! so disrespectful when she came over to the table I told her I am so sorry I bothered you for some pepper to put on my food. And she argued to me. I didn’t say what I said. I’m not deaf. I know what I heard. Thanks.

The people and surroundings were nice and pleasant.
The only thing is that we had at least two, maybe three flys that kept trying to land on our food.

OH MY GOODNESS!!!! This place is AMAZING…The food is better than any other BBQ place I’ve eaten!!! If you’re in the mood for brisket, pulled pork, fajitas, Mexican, tacos, fried fish, shrimp and burgers ACE BBQ is the place to eat. The staff is friendly and helpful. This place has been opened since 2011 and I just found out about it. It’s a hidden gem in Edinburg and I LOVE IT!!!

First time trying Ace’s BBQ as I am venturing out for the best BBQ places in the RGV. This was my first spot as it close to where I live. Great service. Sam took care of me and everything she recommended was good. Brisket was a little on the hard/dry side but it was towards a later part of the day so maybe if I get there earlier it will be softer. Other than that, great place to eat. I will try it again. Try the pork ribs!

Came on New Year’s Day and called ahead late afternoon to see when they’d be closing, woman answering said she doesn’t know (very annoyed) and estimated about 8 pm (Times are different online for holidays). I showed up at 7 pm and the lady inside rushed to lock the door and turn off the open sign that was on when I pulled in to the parking lot, potentially the same lady. I didn’t appreciate this disrespectful behavior from a supposedly reputable restaurant.

Good BBQ with a great variety available. Large serving sizes, so I had to share my plate. The meats were flavorful and juicy. The BBQ sauce had a pepper/spice flavor, but it was savory. My daughter approves the classic cheeseburger! I overheard a manager/owner tell another customer they could get a free alcoholic beverage, but that was not offered to my group (I’m not sure if this is usual). Overall, we would return when in the mood for good BBQ.

I had 2 fundraiser tickets for Brisket sandwich. Saddest brisket sandwich I have ever had. I am not even sure of brisket is from a tub you can purchase at Sam’s Club.

Shout out to Ace BBQ Edinburg for their exceptional service and for always being kind to my mom who is 91 and has dementia. Their moist brisket and fideo are among the few things she will eat. Amazing food and we always feel welcome!
