Everything’s alright. Appetizers (two different rolls; summer and regular) were really delicious. But the main course was a bit disappointing. Not truly ‘Vietnamese’ if you will. A bit more ‘gourmet’. The meat for instance could’ve been better and stronger marinated. Now it’s too plain. Pho broth was not ‘beefy’ enough. Portion was ok if appetizers were ordered. If not, it’s not enough to make you feel ‘full’. Service was profesional and quick. Atmosphere was good. Other clients weren’t too loud. And the place was clean.

Great Pho spot! Had the classic beef pho and spring rolls to start. The Pho just hits the spot especially during these frigid winter days. I also had a glass of ginjo sake with a Ho Chi Minh beer. For dessert I had their Nguyen Dynasty cocktail. It’s a Scotch based cocktail, with ginger and anise infusion. The Pandan was really nice and floral. I dined in for lunch on a Saturday. It was a cool vibe. I sat at the bar . Cool music playlist. Nice ambiance. Lucky to have this spot just 7 minute walk from my apartment. Service was informative, attentive, very chill and quick and they paced everything perfectly…it was A++! Bravo chefs and FOH teams!

Very good vegetarian food with soy “meat”. The portion size felt small for the price. Veg steamed dumplings were ok but the veg Banh Mi and veg tacos were very good. Overall very good.

Delicious and fresh dishes with yummy cocktails!
We had a main and cocktail each for our dinner. The food come in a big portion and very good. I had a braised pork belly on rice while my husband had a tofu vermicelli noodles salad.
The restaurant was very nice and got a comfortable sofa seating.

My experience is based on delivery:

5 star food, 5 star customer service

I have ordered from the gramercy/kips bay location several times. The food always arrives hot, is always well packaged and tasty.

My personal go to is the SHAKING BEEF
Bo Luc Lac Stir fried Angus steak cube) bun. It is served Served w. Side Salad & Nuoc Cham:
(Romaine, Cucumber, Pickled Mustard, Grape Tomatoes, Carrots & Daikon). I appreciate the choice of Vermicelli rice noodle, Thai Jasmine rice or Solely Salad. I always choose rice and the packaging is amazing, the beef is kept seperate from the rice and arrives hot and aromatic. My mom also loves this dish but ordered it with the solely salad and opts for double veggies.

We have also tried several of the bahn mini including the lemongrass chicken, the brisket and the braised short rib. All are tasty. I do recommend adding the dip for $1 as it really takes it to the next level!

I ordered the lychee iced tea sweetened today. It was sweet but not too sweet which I appreciated and as with everything from 5ive spice very thoughtfully packaged in a way that there is no leaking in transit.

5ive spice has some great all day and happy hour specials, I look forward to trying their food in person when I am in the area.

Customer service: One time, on a particularly busy weekend in NYC, I received the wrong bahn mi sandwich. I ordered the brisket bahn mi and received the lemongrass chicken. When I called 5ive Spice, I spoke to the manager John who was incredibly apologetic and explained it was a very busy night, without offering excuses. He offered a full refund and invited me to order again and call and he would include a complimentary bahn mi. For what it’s worth, it was a very busy night in NYC, all of the restaurants we were trying to get take out or delivery from were quoting 2+ hours, and John handled the situation perfectly. The food we received was tasty and did arrive on time.

Very good food. Nice atmosphere inside. Vibes checked out. Food came out quick, diverse menu but not too overwhelming. Accommodated a large party with short notice. Recommend the 5ive special pho.

This was a random find on a very rainy day in NYC/Gramercy area – and what a great place! We were very impressed by the quality of the ingredients – – everything tasted FRESH. I’ve been back twice and the Bun, Pho, and Tacos were very good. Service was warm and efficient and the vibe is just right!

PS: Just had dinner here with friends. I really wanted them to try this place – they LOVED it! Excellent service! Thank you so much for making our Saturday dinner wonderful!

Wow, I’m impressed! I used to date a Vietnamese/Chinese woman, and her mom was a wonderful cook. This restaurant tastes homemade. The summer rolls were delicious. I had a classic sandwich, but I plan on coming back either this evening or tomorrow to try the Pho, and a dessert (I was too stuffed to try the dessert this time). You get a stomach full even without the sides; just a sandwich and summer roll would have left me full. Highly recommend!
