Food was great, good timing and flavorful.
Now… customers service it’s no where to be found. The Chinese lady didn’t even check on us, we were the only table and no hospitality once so ever. It seems like the Host had better customer service than the actual non personality server.
Let the host run the floor, it might help to receive better reviews.

So impressed by the meal we had at Tisumi! The waitress we had was so personable and really helpful at navigating us to menu items we would like based on our sushi preferences. The fish was all high-quality and fresh, as well as beautifully presented! I appreciated that the meals came with a salad and miso soup, and even the non-sushi items like the yaki udon and gyoza were delicious. We were curious about the chocolate soufflé for dessert, and even that exceeded our expectations. We’ll definitely return when visiting our friend in the area!

Very lovely place to eat with absolutely amazing sushi. I’ve eaten there plenty of times and before my grandmother passed, her and I used to always get take-out. I still love the place a lot. I definitely recommend trying it more than once though, since some of their dishes are better than others.

The sushi was absolutely amazing!! The only thing I’d tell you to be careful of is look at the end charge and save your receipt. I went with a friend after visiting my son in the hospital and we showed up at 8pm and I remember how much the total was cause she left the tip and taught me a trick, but I was so flustered I lost the receipt but the cleared charge was $7 more. Otherwise the special rolls were amazing!! And the tea was very calming.

We have been going to Tisumi for years and always really enjoy our visits. They are not the fanciest sushi restaurant in town but they’re reliable and convenient, I’ve never had to wait for a table and the service is quick. The sushi is fresh and delicious and there is a nice selection. I recommend dropping in and giving it a try!

Service was the most unfortunate as I was greeted with no smile, as I just sat down she asked me what I wanted to order with out looking at the menu. I witnessed her smiling and laughing with her co workers but her tables she had the least hospitality face expression. When I got my sushi I said thank you 5 times, she said nothing. People eat out for the great service, and food. I gave 5 stars cause your sushi is the best I had in Connecticut thus far. Your service sucks because of the server I had. The hostess was kind enough to say have a good day while my server was on her phone handing me the check. I still gave her 20% tip but perhaps management can do a better job training their staff as how to approach tables.

I almost never have time to write a review this time is a must! We ordered two deluxe sashimi platters and a few rolls. The quality was the same as Stop & Shop—ridiculous for the price. They are even selling imitation crab meat sticks as part of the sashimi. Very low quality. Glastonbury deserves a better sushi place. We will never be coming back.

I came in for a quick lunch on Saturday — I normally order takeout from here and never had issues, but this was by far the worst dine-in experience I’ve ever had. From start to finish, it was clear that customer service is not a priority here.
I ordered the spicy chicken soup. I have a very high spice tolerance (I’m Caribbean and eat spicy food daily), but this was beyond extreme — not balanced, not enjoyable, just overpowering. What made it worse is that the server never once offered me water. Not at the start, not when the soup came, not even after I clearly struggled with it. When I asked to switch to a miso or clear soup instead, she didn’t understand me and brought over the manager, who flat-out refused. Her “solution” was to just add water to the soup, which was ridiculous. I didn’t eat it and still had to pay for both soups.
Then I ordered yellowtail crudo and was brought yellowtail rolls, then sashimi — neither was what I ordered. When I tried to explain, the server scoffed, rolled her eyes, and walked away without saying a word. No apology, no accountability, no effort to make it right. The manager was just as dismissive and unprofessional.
Not once did anyone check in, offer water, or show even basic hospitality. For a business that’s supposed to value customers, this was unacceptable. I used to enjoy ordering from here, but after how I was treated, I’ll never dine in or order again.

Popped in for lunch on a Thursday. We both ordered the hibachi lunch special (chicken). The meal was tasty. I haven’t been here in a few years, but did notice the portion size has decreased. They also have sushi and bento box lunch specials
