This little diner was a great find while we were visiting Clearlake. I got the fish and chips and the batter was really crispy and light. My husband got the mango habanero wings and a French dip sandwich and said both were tasty. My son got a steak and it was HUGE and to the exact doneness he asked for. My daughter got “silver dollar” pancakes—again, much larger than anticipated. Service was excellent. The place is simple, not fancy, but comfortable. Would definitely eat here again.

Ive ordered from here a few times, trying different items, but everything is really kinda bad quality for the price. Once I ordered the fried sampler plate, and it tasted awful, like the fryer oil hadn’t been changed in forever. Today I ordered a breakfast burrito and they burnt the bacon to black charcoal. I usually order from door dash, so it’s too much of a hassle to go to the store & request a fix or refund.
The pancakes were good tho.

I’ll start with Cactus Grill. Cactus was what this place used to be and was easily top 3 restaurants in lake county. This place isn’t top 3 in the county. That being said this place is still good. Good variety of items that you would expect to see plus some extras. Reason I have no hesitation to give a 5? Service is fantastic. Attentive and clearly they want to make sure you enjoy your meal. Is it the best bacon and eggs ever? No, probably not, but I’d recommend this place any day of the week.
Alright so 2 updates. A couple weeks ago somehow had the most bland bacon I’ve ever had. I’m not sure how that’s even accomplished but it was weird. Went tonight though and got the shrimp Alfredo. It wasnt a 5* but I’ve had several pastas lately that I left mediocre reviews for but this finally hit the spot.

Tried this place for the first time tonight with some family who was visiting and I don’t have enough nice things to say about this place…clean, friendly staff and atmosphere, great menu full of choices….this is our new go to! The portions were huge in the best way possible, everyone loved their food and service was attentive and friendly. If you’re in the area and want some good comfort food, please support them!

After a fun day out on the water at Clear Lake, we worked up a powerful appetite. We decided to give Trejo’s diner a try and were pleasantly surprised. The food was excellent and they give generous portions. One of my friends at the table had the daily special which was the meatloaf, it looked delicious. I myself ordered the grilled chicken sandwich which was tasty, it had plenty of avocado in it. Also in our group was a big guy who ordered the mushroom burger (see photo) they give plenty of food to satisfy even the biggest of appetites. Thank you Trejo’s diner for a good hot meal to end a fun day at the lake.
Second visit: On this visit I wanted to try the daily special, which was the Taco salad (see photo). It was excellent, the shell was the best part. Brenda our waitress was courteous and genuinely friendly. Another great meal at Trejo’s.

When I was visiting the lake to go fishing I stopped by to grab some lunch and the Ribeye was delicious, it usually comes with mashed potatoes but I decided to get the vegetables. This place definitely had a small town vibe and I loved it! If I am ever back in town I am definitely coming here for lunch again. ☺️

The food was just ok. The customer service was terrible! A waitress took our drink order. I ordered hot chocolate and my husband ordered water. She came back with my hot chocolate and 1 set of silverware. Then had to ho back for my husband’s water and another set of silverware. The hashbrowns tasted weird and no one came back to our table after serving our food to refill my husband’s water, to see if I wanted more hot chocolate, or to ask if we wanted or needed anything else.

We had an awesome breakfast here. It’s a little diner that does good food for a good price–nothing fancy but good. My breakfast burrito was hilariously huge and very tasty. They offer decaf coffee, which is also a plus for me. We will be back!
