The Farmers Belly is an absolutely 10/10 establishment in all aspects. No notes. I had a working breakfast with my brother and everything on the menu was impeccable. You could taste the freshness and quality – a genuine farm to table experience. Service was amazing as well, extremely positive aura. Best blueberry pancake we’ve ever tasted. The coffee is delicious, which is why I am giving them 2 stars. I ordered the breakfast sandwich that came on the smallest bun I have ever seen in my life. The amount of bacon they put on the sandwich would have been comical had I not needed to get an additional breakfast to actually be full. For a $3 add on, I’d expect more than a few crumbles of bacon. I also added an additional egg because I thought it was odd that it only came with one. Now after seeing the size of the bun I realize why. I know prices are sky high right now, but charging $13 for this sandwich is a crime. Save your $$ and literally go anywhere else in New Haven, there are plenty of other places that have great coffee AND great food.

Hands down, the BEST blueberry pancakes I’ve ever had in my life, literally a religious experience in my mouth (nobody ever gets the ratio of blueberry to pancake right, but they have cracked it). Went back again the next day for the brisket hash and this was excellent too. This restaurant is a gift in every way, the muffins and coffee are outstanding, the staff are all smiles and the atmosphere is welcoming and warm with views of the river. I also met so many wonderful regulars there (artists, community activists, families). If you are in New Haven, you owe it to yourself to check this place out.

What a delicious breakfast spot! We went here on the first day they were open and I can tell it’s going to be a hot spot in no time! We had the egg biscuit with bacon and the biscuit in particular was amazing. My kids had the French toast with real maple syrup which was delicious as well. Coffee was great too. All local ingredients and the prices were reasonable! Friendly comfortable ambience and a beautiful dining area. We will definitely be back!

Farm Belly is a culinary delight. We popped in for a quick coffee and ordered from the extremely tempting breakfast menu. The brioche egg sandwich, French toast, and memorable lavender-flavored coffee were all fabulous. Fresh, locally sourced ingredients abound. The atmosphere is impeccably clean, warm, and inviting. We were mesmerized, watching the bakers at work, making stunning desserts. Everything was so delicious. We went back and ordered some of the mouthwatering cinnamon buns to go. Everything here was exceptional, including the service and the friendly staff. It’s an excellent location right beside the water and walking paths. We’ll definitely return here again and again. Can’t wait to go back and try some of their lunch options too. If you are in this neighborhood, be sure to stop at Farm Belly. You will not be sorry.

WOW! So glad my friend recommended going here. Love the vibe inside– so much natural light. Welcoming and comfortable. Food was amazing! I had the breakfast biscuit– perfect combination of flavors. Biscuit melts in your mouth. I got a couple bites of the mushroom and egg open-faced sandwich– so much yum! Will definitely go back and recommend to everyone looking for a breakfast/lunch spot.

Have only had breakfast here. I loved the strawberry rhubarb loaf they had here. Coffee is good. Had a simple ham egg and cheese on a brioche bun and it was delicious! Reasonable price for the farm quality. A little loud but to be expected from a morning cafe.

Wow! The food is fresh and delicious. We had the eggs on toast with bacon and home fries. The bread was super light, fresh eggs, amazing bacon and the home fries were seasoned amazingly!
The Carmel sauce they made in house for the caramel latte is to die for! Best coffee in New Haven.

Best lunch in town!!! So fresh, delicious, wholesome, service is excellent! Friendly staff, lots of welcoming smiles. The dining area is warm, lots of sunshine, the customers are happy, good view! There is a good vibes going around. I love their recycling station!!! I had soup, 1/2 sandwich and blueberries pie all delicious and good portions and reasonably priced! Can’t wait to go back!!!!
