Reviews
If you read any review- PLEASE READ THIS ONE!!! None of those pastries you see are made there despite all their marketing claiming they are fresh & made in house. It is all a lie!!
I am allergic to Enriched Flour, so I asked TWO different employees if I could see a booklet or some kind of list that shows the ingredients. Both employees went to the back to check and came back saying “THESE ARE MADE IN A FACTORY & SHIPPED TO US SO WE DONT KNOW WHAT INGREDIENTS ARE IN THEM.” Are you kidding?? So after skipping all the pastries because I very well could be allergic to them, I go to the wall with refrigerated prepackaged items in hopes they’d be safe. They had the ingredients listed on them but those items ARE packaged in house and I saw the employee bringing them out. No hair net, no gloves, no nothing. Wasn’t too worried until I found TWO long disgusting pieces of hair WRAPPED in my pre-packaged sandwich.
I went back to get a refund & wasted 10 minutes standing there. I went up to the employee, told him what happened and asked if I could speak to a manager. He went to the back and came back by himself and said he could fix it. He then tried to figure how to give me a refund on the register but couldn’t figure it out. After trying for 5+ minutes he walks to the back AGAIN and gets another guy who I am assuming is a manager but was also just as incompetent as the first guy. Didn’t acknowledge me when he came out, just walked to the register & tried to fix it. So rude & unprofessional. They then tried to figure it out together and told me it would go back on my card in 24/48 hours. At this point I don’t even care & wouldn’t be surprised if they didn’t return it.
This place could do SO well if it had good management & good leadership. I’ve worked in food & beverage & merchandise at Disney, fast food places, etc for YEARS & I can tell a poorly ran business when I see one.
I plan to report this restaurant to the Health Department as well because I know the proper rules & precautions are NOT being followed.
You lost a customer & got yourselves negative reviews from multiple people. Do better, Paris Baugette.
However, the main issue happened when I came home. I had ordered a desserts-to-go box, and I found that all the desserts were placed in one box. On top of that, the bear-shaped cake in a plastic wrapper – the one that sits on the open shelf where everyone touches items with their hands and picks them up was placed directly on top of the unwrapped desserts. These pastries are supposed to be taken with tongs and are ready to eat, so placing a packaged item from an open shelf onto fresh food felt extremely unsanitary.
I also noticed that another customer was offered a bag for their box by a different employee, while I wasn’t offered one at all. I’m not sure if this was inconsistency in service or something else, but it did feel unpleasant.
I rarely ever leave negative reviews, but the lack of sanitation and careless handling of food really bothered me. I truly hope management addresses this issue, because I actually like Paris Baguette a lot and want to keep visiting – but I expect proper service and basic hygiene.
If you want it shorter, more casual, or specific to a certain pastry or location, I can tweak it in two seconds. ☕️
The cakes and croissants are exquisite and taste rich and fresh. The inside is clean and very upscale. The outdoor seating and furniture are the best in the area.
The staff and owner are super friendly and accommodating. Definitely a 5-star establishment.
It’s the best place for a good snack.
A Parisian Pastry Playground in the Heart of Hamlin
Paris Baguette in Hamlin isn’t just a bakery—it’s an experience. From the moment you step in, it’s like wandering into a modern French café: clean, inviting, and stacked with pastry perfection.
It’s a self-serve wonderland—grab a tray, grab some tongs, and go wild. Flaky croissants, mochi donuts, bagel melts, ham & cheese baguettes, croissant sandwiches, parfaits, and more. I went in for “just a snack” and walked out with a tray full of joy and a new obsession.
Pro tip: Join their rewards program. It’s one point per dollar and it adds up fast. Free pastries? Don’t mind if I do.
The drinks are also on point—smooth cold brews, creamy lattes, and even seasonal specialty drinks. They have limited indoor seating, but a shaded outdoor patio makes up for it (great for a casual coffee date, kiddo time, or solo pastry-and-a-book moment).
Staff? Fast and friendly. Vibe? Relaxed and low-key fancy. Bonus points for the cute merch—yes, I bought the mug. No regrets.
Whether you’re a local looking to spice up your morning routine or hosting guests who deserve a next-level breakfast, this spot delivers. Go early for the best selection—everything flies off the shelves by lunch.
