Sashimi is a sushi restaurant located at the corner of Lake Forest Drive and Dimension Drive. It appears to be run by a Korean family and is a popular spot among the locals. They have a sushi bar, but we opted to dine at a table. Steve greeted us and was not only friendly and helpful, but his service level enhanced our overall dining experience.
We tried a number of dishes during our visit. Among my favorites were the Veggie Tempura, Salmon Nigiri, Lake Forest Roll (I appreciate that they allow substitutions so I subbed spicy yellowtail in place of the spicy tuna) and Special Carpaccio S. The Spicy Salmon cut roll was nothing special and tasted more like a California Roll. The Yellowtail Cheek was good, but it was more meaty and less tender than I’ve enjoyed at other Japanese restaurants. My wife ordered the Pink Lady, but I prefer my sushi with rice. All in all, we enjoyed our Sashimi experience and I’d recommend checking it out if you’re in Lake Forest and in the mood for raw fish at a reasonable price.

Great Sashimi/Sushi spot.
I had Yellowfin sashimi, Octopus salad, Eel and and a crunchy hand roll, paired with Sake and a delicious rice beer.
Everything was fresh and tasty.

Surprisingly excellent and interesting sushi and sashimi. We wandered in here for lunch one day and sat outside in the patio which was nice. The service was good. Price is a bit higher but you totally get what you pay for. The quality, flavors, and quantity were all great. We really enjoyed it and if we lived closer would come often.

Nice place for some sushi rolls! Restaurant’s ambiance was pretty chilled, average noise, two TVs playing sports today. They offer inside and outside seating, including the bar seating.
Our waitress Stephanie was amazing, excellent customer service. We also got a chance to talk to the manager, they were all very friendly and welcoming!
Highly recommend the “Amazing Sushi Roll.” It was created by one of the sushi chef there. Delicious.

My Fiancé and I were looking for a nice place to dine on our staycation and that served fish because it Lent and he found this wonderful place.
The sushi and sashimi were fresh and delicious and the service was amazing.

Great sushi friendly staff excellent value. This is an update to a previous review these guys definitely got it figured out and they have some of the best sushi in Orange county. The staff is super professional and helpful and they always go above and beyond to make sure everyone has the best experience. Have a great dining area as well as an outdoor patio and I highly encourage anyone in the area to check it out.

Took my son for his birthday at lunch today. The place is inconspicuous and not too big, but it was impressive.
Very clean, attentive, and hospitable. The quality of the food was high (and so was the price – a little on the high side, but definitely worth it).
A little dead at lunch time, but made for a more relaxed atmosphere.

Food is delicious and everyone that works there is so lovely and helpful. Fresh sushi and would recommend the Superman burrito for a refreshing lunch. Looking forward to trying the Omakase for dinner. Would definitely recommend. Plenty of parking as well.

My opinion was a little pricey for lunch. Rolls were $15 to $25 for lunch.
We went with 5 rolls to share, and the chef sent us one special item, which was salmon and crab avocado and lemon.
Miso soup was just ok. Salad was good with an interesting dressing.
Our first roll was mostly white fish, and the group felt that it was a little fishy. not our favorite. The rest was tastie. I chose the incorrect roll and wanted the Hawaiian roll but ended up with a baked salmon roll.
The staff was excellent and friendly. nice little inside and nicer outside.outside.
The server put the edeame put on the table to share complements of the house before we ordered.

Great sushi place. Lots of really good options, and just high quality all around. Their iced green tea was nice and light, their crunch roll hand roll was so tasty, and the carpaccio were all exactly what I was looking for. A really wonderful meal.
