First the positives: the food is genuinely good. They have a good selection, and the manager and owner are sweet.
BUT…
I’ve eaten here numerous times since they opened, and the service has been consistently poor and anxiety-inducing. The staff gets overwhelmed by a short line. Ordering is tedious; you must answer 8 questions to order a sandwich, and after you dictate exactly what you want, it comes out wrong. I had been overlooking the poor service, but after my last visit, where they had a full staff and painfully ignored me instead of saying, ‘We’ll be right with you.’ This I can take, but added to the inefficiency, this NY bagel shop wouldn’t last a day in NY. New Yorkers would flip tables; instead, I’m writing this out of love, hopefully so Katie can ask her staff to be more personable and change the “easy as 1, 2, 3 – 8” ordering method. It shouldn’t take an hour to get a wrong sandwich at 11 am.
I wouldn’t write this if it were a one-time thing; it’s an every-time thing. Much love, a semi-regular customer who felt really sad after my last visit.

Ate lunch, took bagels home. Everything was tasty, my hard roll was a bit dry, probably from a batch not made that day. Overall, a dry Yankee hard roll from here is better than what locals call hard kaiser rolls any day. LoL Only miss was they forgot my oil and vinegar on my sandwich. Love stopping here whenever we are out in Tryon.

Super sweet cozy deli with a kind and welcoming staff and a delicious and reasonably priced breakfast bagel sandwich (and lots of other great sandwiches, sides, and sweets). Has a few outdoor tables, a high top and several tables inside, and some comfy lounging chairs. This is a nice spot for people watching and chatting with the locals. I will definitely be back!!

Best kept secret in Tryon, NC! We went for a little drive today to take in some fresh air in the mountains and we happened to see this place out of the corner of our eye tucked into a little plaza. So glad we did. The food was great and the Staff was so friendly. And the Carrot cake for dessert was a delicious guilty pleasure! If you are driving through make sure to try it out. Oh, and the pastrami sandwich is so good!! Katie is so nice and friendly!

Always my go to when I am in the area great bagels, and sandwiches. Very generous schmears… Reasonable prices 3.99 for toasted bagel with cream cheese. Great flavors great employees, I went in with 4 people ahead of me and was out in about 15.min from walking in to walking out.. I have eaten lunch many times and have enjoyed everything I ever ordered. Highly recommend.

Always a staple anytime I’m in the area. They’ve got an exceptional, made-to-order menu with gluten-free options as well. The staff are always welcoming and prompt with service. They serve breakfast sandwiches that remind me of living in New Jersey. The owner is a fantastic woman, who regularly checks on patrons, and the pride they have in their business shows through the well-kempt dining area and bathroom. While their drink options are limited to what’s in the two refrigerators, there are plenty of options for just about any guest.

I make it a point to dine here whenever I’m in town, and you should too.

I had to get 2 sides. The broccoli thing and the potato salad were outstanding. Also had the Italian Hero and loved it. This place is highly recommended when looking for fresh and wholesome food.

Well worth the travel. Love the bagels. They are the real deal. Chewy and delicious. Loved the French toast bagel but personally went for the everything. Wanted to give a special shout out to Shelley for the unbelievable service. She even refilled my free water several times. Fun place and cool atmosphere. Definitely recommend. Will be back soon. By the way we forgot our Cranberry bars, will be back soon to redeem. Couldn’t believe we got all the way back to Cedar Mountain and forgot them.

Its not a beautiful place but the sandwiches are great and the people are pleasant. I stopped for the first time when I was in the area and wanted something to go for me and my beautiful wife. A friend recommended the place so I got the rubin and the meatloaf sandwiches and we split them when I got home. Really good.

Really cute place. The lady who assisted us with our order was amazing. She was very helpful and kind. She said, “yes ma’am” to me after everything, and it was so sweet I ended up saying “yes ma’am” to my husband on accident because it was heavy in my mind.

They serve bagels, custom make your own sandwiches that are made with Boars Head meat, and they have an array of side salad options to go with it. There is a small seating area inside and a few tables out front.

I had an Italian hoagie with lettuce, jalapeños, tomatoes, and roasted red peppers. The sandwich usually has balsamic vinaigrette, but I opted for mayo. My sandwich was super tasty, and the macaroni salad was very good too. I am pretty picky about that so I was very impressed.

My husband had turkey and jalapeño jack cheese on a toasted everything bagel with his choice of toppings. He also enjoyed his very much.

I would definitely recommend this cute, local spot.
