Wheelchair friendly–doors are HEAVY, not automatic.
Came at a slow late hour.
Loved how nice and quiet it was, no loud music.
Accommodated my special needs no problem.
Service was fantastic, food came out quick!
Chips & Salsa, nice kick to it.
Burrito was big and delicious. Good sweet tea, soft drink bit pricey, will probably skip for water next time.
$21 in cash including tip for just me.
No real complaints.

I didn’t care for the chips and salsa they first bring to the table. The chips weren’t warmed and seemed to me to be of low quality. The salsa was too hot for my liking. Next time I will try Caso instead. My entree was a taco salad. It was ok. Restaurant was clean with plenty of seating. Server was prompt to take our order and the food was delivered in a timely manner.

We frequent here because we love the food and the spicier salsa! We recently came here with a large group (~50 people) after a funeral visitation. After calling several restaurants in the area (even those with separate banquet rooms) no one was willing to accommodate us, but La Fiesta welcomed us with open arms. We were warned that it was Taco Tuesday which is generally very busy for them, so there may be a slight wait to get tables cleared and together after the rush. No problem. Upon arrival, they had tables all set up and ready for us. Service was FABULOUS – even with 50 people the waiter remembered everyone’s drinks and kept them full. No mishaps with food or orders which is truly a miracle with a large group. Everyone commented on how great both the food and service was. Thank you to everyone at La Fiesta for making a hard night a little easier!

Went last night for $1 Taco Night. They gave me tacos that had barely anything in them. When I went to pay, I informed the cashier of how skimpy the tacos were. She told moment that on $1 Taco Night, you only get 1 small scoop! So be aware, if you go for $1 taco night, you can expect to get a subpar taco. I’ve had tacos from Taco Bell with more filling! We drive from Chillicothe to go there!!!

We go to another one closer to our house, but while out we tried this one. It was lunch time so not as busy, we got seated right away. The chips and salsa came right as we sat. Server was nice an checked on us a few times during the meal. But the rice i ordered with my meal was dry an didn’t taste that great. The margaritas I ordered was good.

I’ve never had a meal that disappointed me. Hands down best chimichanga in the area. The shell is crispy yet delicate. Really the only chimichanga in the area that isn’t “soggy”. I typically get the shredded beef filling, and every time it’s been fantastic. Not dry and very flavorful. I’ve been here enough times to say a)good food and b) worth every penny

I’ve been going to this location since the first day it opened. I’m gonna say I’ve been there a little under 20 times already. I’ve dined in and I’ve done carry out orders. I’ve eaten here all times of the day. Never had a bad experience yet. Food has always been hot and fresh and tastes amazing. Yes it’s priced a bit higher, but it’s good quality. Don’t waste your time going to the other nasty Mexican restaurants in pekin. Don’t believe all the negative reviews about La Fiesta , just remember this world is full of a bunch of complaining Karen’s now a days .

Update… we gave it a cpl months and went back, much improved!!!
We were so excited to not have to drive to Morton but… they need practice still! My boyfriends margarita was weak. It took quite a while to get our food. I received the dinner chimichangas asked for no red sauce but it was on there. I will say the shredded chicken was very well seasoned and it was good. My boyfriend ordered no red sauce and also got it on his. Our waiter was very friendly and he did put the order in right they just didn’t do it right. That’s why I say they need practice. It wasn’t the worst experience but we’ll wait a while to go back. All around it wasn’t a bad experience they just need to settle in.

Ordering food here as we speak, 3 star review before even getting it (will update after actually trying the food) because their website redirects to some scam website that prompts you to allow notifications to your phone to verify you’re human, and then begins to spam you every minute to click and renew a security protection for your device and that your device is compromised.
**EDIT** Told the owner about the situation with website, he is aware and trying to resolve it, and has been for a bit. Food was great, the restaurant was really clean when I went in, everyone was friendly, this is a gem to have if you’re local to Pekin. Updated to 5 stars it deserves

This is our first time at La Fiesta located in Pekin, Illinois and we really enjoyed our experience! My goal was to come in here and give a five-star review (despite the negative reviews that are posted) I’m very pleased to be able to come in here and do that today. The steak fajitas were fantastic, the meat was seasoned to perfection and the shredded beef that was in my husband’s chimichangas was the best out of all the Mexican restaurants in the surrounding cities. We also enjoyed the salsa and the cheese dip, it’s got a little bit more of a hint of Jalapeno in it, so it had a nice kick.
Our waiter, Juan, did a wonderful job and was very friendly. We introduced ourselves and he told us that he had moved there from Tennessee to work at that restaurant. We were surprised and told him that we wanted to move to Tennessee. He said he was very happy working at La Fiesta and is happy that he made the move. His customer service was really great and we were happy that we got a nice friendly waiter!
