I’ve been coming here since I was a baby. 40+ yrs. The food is delicious!! Garbage grinder is my favorite. I know from the street it may look a little run down but give it a chance…you won’t be disappointed.

Update August 2022: still great. I opted for the large meatball with onions. 8 meatballs and very tasty. My wife got the garbage grinder without peppers. Even better. Great service. Very clean. Note split shift hours.

Great local place for sandwiches and such. The home of the original garbage grinder. I got one (of course!) and it was delicious. Friendly staff.

These are pictures of my leftovers. I didn’t think to take one of the whole sandwich. I had the six inch gut grinder. It was on a hoagie roll. The bun was different than in pictures I’ve seen. The roll was toasted on both sides so kind of crunchy. There wasn’t much meat and it was seared so it was crispy. The onions and peppers were chopped and fell off when I picked it up. There is no lettuce. The place was clean and cute on the inside. The sandwich was $10.99 and didn’t come with chips or anything. It was edible but overpriced for what you got. Overall I was very disappointed in the sandwich. I could have made a better one at home.

Wonderful Reuben sandwich. Good bread, flavorful ingredients, plenty of sauce on the sandwich, nice and hot!

Lady who made it was nice and helpful.

Great fresh sandwiches, so much better than those franchise sandwiches. This was my 1st experience with eating at Luigi’s (since Im from a different state) I feel bad for not getting some food pictures to post, but we ended up eating everything before I wrote this review.
The pizza bites are a French bread style and definitely worth getting cause they won’t last long. Their home made Italian soda was really tasty. So if your reading this and deciding whether or not to try the food I extremely recommend you eat here, you won’t be disappointed!!

It takes a few for the sandwich, but good things come to thise who wait!! My french dip was loaded with meat and melty cheese. So good!!! And I chose the small sandwich. The others were larges. Reuben was loaded. Took 2 days to finish! Clean, friendly, can call in your order ahead. Cute spot with parking. Outdoor table available. 10 out of 10 will eat here again!

So used to the garbage grinder, here in medford, I think I was a little disappointed with this one. I ordered 2 lrg ones and it was nothing like it. The sandwich I got was ok, but not what I was expecting. The service was great. The shop was bigger than in medford. But it didn’t matter when the sandwich was a bummer.

Me and my boyfriend were wanting good Italian tonight and after reading some reviews chose here and we were not disappointed we got two meatball subs and an Italian soda each, it was delicious! The staff were incredibly friendly, food was ready fairly quickly and the dogs even got pup cups. Highly recommend giving them a try, I would post a picture but we both scarfed it down immediately there was no time for photos -thank you for a great meal!

I stopped in for lunch while I was in town. (I make it a point to stop by local businesses for meals on my visits.) Luigi’s is definitely one of the places I’ll keep going back to. I have tried a couple sandwiches off their menu and have not been disappointed once. Both the gut grinder and the Reuben were amazing, along with their Italian soda! I had to wait about 10-15 minutes for my sandwiches but I would gladly do so again. The staff was friendly and helpful, even when the card reader started acting up. All in all it was worth stopping and going in.

We’ve driven past Luigi’s a few times and really wanted to stop, and I’m glad we did! The sandwiches were a little different than expected (my cheese and veggie grinder looked like a french bread pizza) but it was good! My husband thought the french dip was heart with a good au jus, and the cheese bread was very nostalgic. Overall would recommend this place for a quick and easy lunch!
