The Order: General (burger) + Loaded Brisket Fries
First off… Online ordering… aka ScrollFest 2026… worked great, even if it felt like filling out a mortgage application. A heroic amount of options. I’m sure some folks love that level of control, but by the end I half-expected a personality test. On a phone? Absolutely unhinged. Desktop was survivable… barely.
Pickup:
Online said 30 minutes (6:23pm).
Reality said “Nah, we’re done already” at 6:09pm.
Credit where it’s due… glad I went down early so the food didn’t turn into sad leftovers before I even met it.
Presentation:
Burger and fries looked good. No shame there. Instagram wouldn’t have laughed at me.
The General (Burger):
Unfortunately… dry.
Not send-it-back dry, but definitely “thank God for pickles” dry. The pickles did some real heavy lifting, adding the only noticeable zip. BBQ sauce and ranch were apparently present in spirit only… I saw a drip, but my taste buds never got the memo.
Result:
A decent burger.
Not bad.
Not memorable.
Certainly not something I’d text a friend about like “BRO YOU HAVE TO TRY THIS.”
Loaded Brisket Fries:
Flavor? Good.
Sauce? Tasty.
Execution? Eh.
For $12, the portion felt a little “is this the appetizer?” The fries could’ve been warmer and better mixed… instead it was more like scavenger hunting for bites that had everything together.
The deep-fried cheese curds were legit but borderline fork-vs-curd death match. That plastic fork never stood a chance. Outsides were pretty crusty… almost too committed to the crunch.
Overall Verdict:
Good food.
Nothing offensive.
Nothing that screams “come back often.”
If I’m nearby and hungry… sure.
If I’m choosing a place intentionally… probably not.
Final Score:
3.5 stars… rounding up to 4 because I believe in grace.
Solid effort. Some wins. Some misses. No fireworks.
Would eat again… but only if someone else picked the place and I didn’t have to scroll for 10 minutes first

I ordered 4 burgers, fries, and jalapeño bombers for my family. The burgers were tender but lacked seasoning and flavor, the buns were cheap and didn’t hold together, the fries were stale and bland, the jalapeño bites were leathery and shaped like rangoons (not as pictured online), and my wife’s “The General” burger was missing the pulled pork (which was kind of the unique thing about it, see photo). Small positives were that the jalapeño filling and jalapeño ranch were tasty and the side of fries was a generous portion (but the low quality meant that my family of 4 didn’t even finish the whole order). I cannot think of a reason to return.

I’m genuinely surprised that Burger Bunker has such good reviews based on my experience today. I ordered a crispy chicken sandwich with a side of fries and jalapeno ranch. My sandwich was $12.75 and the fries were nearly $6. I think my sauce cost extra, but I can’t remember (I ordered as part of a group). For nearly $20, not including tip or delivery fees, my meal was extremely disappointing. The sandwich was small and nothing special, the fry portion was not enough for $6, and the jalapeno ranch cup was half empty. My friends expressed similar disappointment with their meals as well.
I don’t expect food truck food to be amazing, but I do expect it to not cost as much or more than a sit-down restaurant like Red Robin or Cracker Barrel if it has tiny portions and lackluster food. Based on my experience today, I will not be including Burger Bunker as a viable lunch option in the future.

1 star because the burgers are yum, but incredibly tiny. 1 star because of the service from the brats inside working with attitudes that have nothing to do with me… except that I won’t be back. 1 star because the prices are outrageous.
I don’t care if it is a good burger, it’s not that good. I can take my money and go spend it somewhere else on an over priced burger, one with size, and somewhere the service is far better.

Adjacent to Post Fall’s Bunker Bar is the food truck ‘Burger Bunker’. Dishing up delicious burgers, sliders, and sandwiches with traditional flavors. Crispy chicken sandwich has generous mayo, pickle, and tender fried chicken. Flamethrower burger beef patties were seasoned perfectly (not over-salted) and serrano peppers added good heat! Service was friendly and welcoming. Proceeds from food truck help support much-needed vet suicide prevention.

The staff was very nice and friendly. The bun was soft with nice texture. The fries was yummy and crispy. The patty is cooked just fine, but can do with a bit more flavor or spices. Overall is a good 4-stars burger.

I have had great experiences with Burger Bunker up until tonight. I placed an online order and it showed 30 minutes for pick up. Totally fine, as soon as I get there to pick it up the girl at the register seemed flustered and told me it was going to be 3-4 more minutes before my order was ready. Not a problem, what is the problem is that it took almost an hour to get my order from when it was placed. I understand it’s Friday night, but an hour seems a bit ridiculous. The longest I’ve waiting while at the bar is 30 minutes on a busier night than it was tonight. People ordering at the truck after my order was placed were getting their food before mine was finished. Again, not a huge problem but something to note. I get home and open the container, lift the burger and the bottom of the container is all grease. The bottom bun is soaked and where it isn’t full of grease, it’s rock hard. The tots are overcooked, and also very greasy. Not sure what happened tonight but overall unimpressed today.

I saw some of the other reviews and just felt disappointed once I got my food. It was a fine burger but could’ve used more to make it pop. The fries were a lot like McDonald’s but I say that as a compliment. They were like a good batch of fresh fries. I see some other pictures and reviews and would have definitely given it another chance. Just a little overpriced for what I felt like I got.
