Very disappointed with this bakery. If I could leave a zero star rating vs a one then I would. Delivery person was not very accurate on the interaction that transpired. The owner clearly does not believe in customer satisfaction or customer is always right.
Cake design was nothing like what I chose from their own website. Half was very dry. Structure was not very strong upon receiving cake. Pictures is what I chose and then what I got upon arrival.
According to owner this was my fault. Do not recommend this place of business.

The cake came out amazing. We traveled to Orlando for my husband’s 40th and I stumbled across candyland designs and I am so glad I did. The cake looked and tasted amazing. We had a chocolate cake with cookies and cream icing and chocolate mousse filling. It was delivered to our resort on time. The communication was excellent. Thank you all so much.

We were extremely disappointed by the customer care we received from Candyland Designs. Please do yourself a favor, and avoid this bakery at all cost. Instead of taking any responsibility, the owner gaslights you and says the error was actually your fault.
I was the maid-of-honor in my best friend’s wedding on 10/13/25 and hired Candyland Designs to make the wedding cake.
We were set to pick up the cake 10/12/25 at 2:00 p.m. The bride and I arrived at the bakery to pick it up on time. The bakery was a little hard to find, so I call the phone number on their website to make sure we were at the correct location. The owner/head baker answers and informs us that she is out of town and that her niece, an employee named AJ, is delivering the cake. Soon after, the employee pulls up with the cake sitting in the (slanted) back seat of her Tesla. After the employee transferred the cake into our vehicle, the employee removed the top off of the box so we can inspect the cake. It was clear that the cake’s structural integrity was irrecoverably compromised. The whole bottom tier had concertinaed and collapsed under its own weight. We point this out to the employee, and she calls the owner.
After she spoke to the owner, the employee informs us she is going to take the cake up to the studio to try and repair the cake as best as possible. However, as I mentioned, the structure of the cake was already compromised. There was no amount of icing that was going to fix the cake. Nevertheless, she tried to fix it as best as she could, and we did not really have any other options because the wedding was the following day. When she comes back, she tells us to make sure the cake is on a flat surface at all times (advice the employee herself had not followed), so we put the cake on the (flat) floor of the car all the way back to where we were headed. She also informed us the owner would be calling us to discuss what happened (which never happened – the owner never reached back out).
The cake continued to collapse under its own weight all the way to our fridge. We made the decision to take the top tier off and present just the top tier for the reception and just made the best of what we had.
Now, I understand we are all human, and things happen. It’s unfortunate that this happened on such a special day. However, when the bride emailed Candyland Designs to inform the owner of her dissatisfaction the owner wrote the following:
“When AJ arrived, she promptly called me to confirm the handoff. As always, I reminded her to provide our standard cake care instructions to the client, which include:
1. Place the cake on a flat surface (never a car seat, as seats are slanted).
2. Keep the air conditioning on to preserve cake stability.
3. Drive carefully, as we always recommend that we deliver wedding cakes ourselves when possible.”
(These instructions were only given to us after the employee repaired the cake. And, again, the employee had the cake in her backseat – so she did not follow her own instructions.)
”AJ walked your pickup person to her vehicle and clearly relayed these instructions. Unfortunately, your pickup person took the cake and still placed it on a car seat, and upon feeling the cake shift in that tilted position, she asked AJ if anything could be done. “
This is a flat-out lie. The employee (AJ) pulled the cake from her slanted backseat, placed it in on our seat, and it was already damaged. The “pickup person” was the bride and myself. We have first-hand knowledge of the events that transpired and can both verify that this is all an extremely inaccurate representation of what occurred. My friend and I are extremely disappointed and disgusted by this behavior. Not only did the owner not offer any sort of compensation or apologies, she then said it was OUR fault. This is not how you do business and I will be making sure to let everyone I know to AVOID THIS BAKERY AT ALL COST!

You were extremely helpful and fast to respond to our every request. I can’t begin to explain in words how amazing the cake tastes!!!!!
