Cool bar, love a dive. This place is probably great but the day my friends and I went, the bartender was rude and made us uncomfortable. We came here on our first day in Hermann and didn’t come back again the rest of the trip despite the cool dive vibes and cheap drinks. That employee should be reevaluated.

The bitter little guy working the bar and taking food orders is extremely rude and overly sensitive.
We heard from the locals that his Mom works here or owns the place so they can’t fire him.
Food is good but the bartender/waiter is NOT a people person. He needs to find a job that doesn’t involve customer contact.

They got our order wrong, but it was just cheese on a hamburger. The burgers are good and inexpensive, come with pickles and onions then add-ons.
Atmosphere is dive bar with some touch tunes 😉

As there are not many places to eat after 8 pm on a Thursday night in Hermann, this place was a lifesaver! Sharps was recommended to us a a place to dine and is none for their food and they definitely did not disappoint. Food was excellent and served with a smile!

I can’t say anything too bad about this place. It served its purpose and satisfied what I was looking for: cheap food that wasn’t fast food.
The food is great if you’ve been drinking all day/night in a town that is known for its alcoholic beverages. But gourmet it is not. But still, better than McDonald’s.
The staff was super friendly. The decor was interesting. Overall, I liked this place. I especially liked the prices. The photo of the menu attached to my review was taken on May 2, 2025.

I’ve visited Herman several times in the past and have always enjoyed it, but this experience was completely different. The bartender (long hair, not sure of his name) seemed irritable from the moment we walked in. He screamed at one customer to leave, then yelled at another group of guests who had simply moved a table slightly closer to their friends. His outbursts were loud, aggressive, and confusing for everyone in the restaurant.
The atmosphere quickly turned hostile, and we decided not to spend any more money there—just like several other guests who left after witnessing the same behavior. As someone who works in the service industry, I can’t imagine ever treating guests in this manner.
Very disappointing, especially since Herman has always been a place I’ve enjoyed visiting in the past.

There 4 of us girls for Witches & Wine. I suggested we go to Sharps to have a burger before heading back to our Airbnb. I’ve been here plenty of times and never an issue. Food has always been good and friendly service. Not this night! WOW Justin acts like this is a 5 star restaurant with assigned seating! Running around and telling people where to sit and where not to sit. There were only 2 tables being used when we got there. Nobody sitting at the bar and when we tried to set our witches hat on a bar stool next to us, he acted like it was a damn crime! Calm down JUSTIN, this is a dive bar not a 5 star restaurant!

See photos. So I came to Hermann, MO to see if this place still served breakfast. It does not at the moment until the are able to find more staff to work the breakfast shift. I did have a beer and the BLT sandwich, with fries. Very good. Good beer selection. I will come back again to try more of the menu. Friendly staff. Serves limited menu of burgers, fries, and pizza during Octoberfest.

Thought it was going to be a good dive bar but staff/service was lacking. Felt like the server was annoyed he actually had to work. Never checked back after bringing our food, never brought my wife’s salad or bill (guess you are supposed to know they don’t bring out checks and you have to pay at the bar). They only provide water bottles on the weekend instead of glasses of water, I guess 8 patrons is too many to keep dishes clean for.
Just go buy gas station food and drink a bottle of wine in your room.
