Dominoes reached out next day with an email for a free pizza. I tried to use that two days ago 2 weeks after the initial bad delivery ) but the free pizza was only good for 7 days. I ordered a large half Hawaiian half beef anyway, this time for pickup (this was on a normal Monday evening at 6pm). Once again, status update just stayed in “making” or whatever. I called and once again the phone just kept ringing. So an hour later, I drove to the store. There were two employees, the phone ringing off the hook and both employees just ignored it. Then at one point while the phone was ringing an employee came and turned off the ringer, never answering the phone. Four other people were in line, each were told their pizza would be another 45 min to an hour, my pizza hadn’t been made 1 hour after I ordered. The guy finally asks what my order was, I tell him, he says it’ll be 15-20 more minutes. He goes to the back and comes back to tell me they don’t have ground beef or sausage. I substitute, finally getting the pizza and hour and a half from my order time (originally estimated at 20 min).
Stay away until they get their act together
Was told it would be 20 minutes. After waiting for a full hour in their lobby (with nowhere to sit by the way), I had to flag someone down because no one was updating me or letting me know how the order was coming despite trying to get their attention. If their tracker had properly told me how long it was or if I was told up front “Hey there’s 80 pizzas ahead of you, it’ll be a 1-1.5 hr wait” I would’ve canceled it and gone about my day instead of wasting all that time.
At literally every other fast food establishment, if someone comes in after a large order and orders something small, they usually push out the small order as they’re cooking the big orders so that customer can get in and out. I’m not saying I’m more important than other people, but that seems the most efficient way and the least amount of headache for everyone.
Or if you’re that backed up, turn off online ordering for a little bit so you can catch up (I’ve seen other Dominos do this before).
I waited over an hour and didn’t even receive my food because I had to be back at work. That alone was incredibly frustrating but the lack of communication, lack of acknowledgement and refusal to please make my order after seeing that I’ve been standing there for an hour is what made it worse.
I came to this location because the one further down Broad St had its own problems, but it seems this location is letting everyone down too. The food is tasty when you actually do get it, but that requires actually receiving it.
Twice in the last month now, I have ordered and waited those 2 hours (when the original estimate was 30-40 minutes!). Only for the entire order to be cancelled.
To add insult to injury on my last order, I had used points to add a free pizza to my order. I was not refunded the points upon the order’s cancellation.
After numerous issues with the local franchise, Domino’s has lost us as customer for life!
Today, I placed the order on the App and it said the ETA would be approx 38-48 min.
After placing the order at 5:29pm, I received an email that the eta would be 64-79 min. I wasn’t happy, but I could deal with it.
The “TRACKER” never works. I get a message that the pizza was placed in the oven 70 min after I placed the order.
I called the store and sat on hold for 9 min.
I spoke with a “manager” and he just told me they are under staffed.
His customer service skills are pathetic. He offered to cancel the order.
Some key points to the company:
If the Tracker doesn’t work…. then don’t have it.
If you are under staffed…. used Door Dash, Uber Eats or Grub Hub to deliver the pizzas for you.
Treat your customers better!
But you don’t have to worry about me. I will NEVER order from the company again! This same thing has happened more times than I can count in the last 8 months.
This is very disappointing. Going forward I’ll go to Marco’s or Pizza Hut… or even better Mellow Mushroom.
