We came here on a Sunday afternoon while we were in the Aurora area. The restaurant was very spacious and clean. It works perfect for big gatherings or small groups. There are a variety of booth sectioned out to accommodate approx a party of 8-10ppl or a private area for 2-6ppl.
It offers a good selection of Japanese cuisine and the signature korean dishes. We ordered the lunch Bento and pork bone soup. The bento provides a good value and quality is decent. I prefer pork bone soup more tender.
Overall, it is a good place for comfortable seating and doesnt lack privacy for intimate convos. I’d come back for the sushi and look forward to trying other platters.

Love this place! This is me and my boyfriend’s go to spot for sushi takeout! Always so fresh and delicious. My go to is the dynamite roll and spicy salmon hand roll, never disappoints! Staff are always so welcoming when you enter and food is ready on time.

Very close to the Aurora Go station. Restaurant is quite big. Food is quite good. The Spicy Dragon Roll sushi is good, not spicy to me. Could have more beef in the beef bulgogi soup. The tofu for the tofu set is good too. Service could be better and more attentive. The restaurant can be brighter and warmer to draw more crowd.

Celebrated my husband’s birthday a few weeks ago. Our first time visiting this wonderful restaurant. Having been to both South Korea and Japan, we were impressed with the authenticity and quality of the food. We had a fairly large party – 9 adults and 3 children yet our service was impeccable, attentive and very friendly (despite the noise level we sometimes created!).
This will definitely be our go to sushi/korean restaurant. Thank you to the entire staff for a very enjoyable evening!

This is our favourite restaurant in Aurora. We go here a lot. Service is great, nice people who do their job perfectly. They’re so nice! They always remember me and my family, greeting me nicely every time. To all of you who dislike this place, it’s probably a one time thing. No hate. The place is cute and clean, unlike some restaurants I’ve been to. The food? Amazing. We ordered the salmon sushi pizza (don’t get me wrong it’s actually good), udon combination dinner (chicken), the Bulgogi stew, and the party boat. Always fresh and perfectly cooked. Before a slight renovation, it was kind of dark. But now it’s nice and cozy. I recommend dine-in. It gives you a better and nicer experience. We’ve done birthday celebrations, holidays, and random nights where we don’t know what to eat. Try Kookjae soon!!! You’ll enjoy it
