we came on a thursday night which surprisingly was packed. we put our names down and was seated within 15 minutes. we went to the bar to get some drinks while we waited. i got the dead parrot local beer. there’s a lot of local beers they have on tap.
as for food, we ordered the mac and cheese for an appetizer and it was good but the portion size was small for how much it cost. if it were triple the size, i’d say it was worth it. for mains i ordered the steak frites with green beans and my wife got fried chicken with mac and cheese and mashed potatoes. the green beans were good with a nice crunch which i like. the fries were well seasoned and crispy and the demi glacé was delicious as well. the steak was good but it was already cut into different size pieces and the temperature ranged from medium rare to medium. the meal was still great. knowing what i know now, i would’ve ordered the sauce on the side to preserve the crispiness of the fries.
the fried chicken was great too. super crunchy batter and juicy tender meat. the mashed potatoes were great as well. i think the outside batter was a little too cooked and dark for me but we still enjoyed the meal.
overall, we had a great time at craft bar. i understand this is a fairly new location so maybe their just working out the kinks. felix was our server and he was professional and prompt throughout our time there. the hosts were friendly and respectful as well. we definitely recommend to anyone in the area wanting a good meal with some great tasting beer.
My only gripe was portion and food quality…..
The pretzel was great, for dinner I had the stuffed flounder. Everywhere you go, you get an actual stuffed flounder…. This wasn’t even the size of a normal fish fillet….and they couldn’t confirm it was flounder it maybe grouper. Though it had good flavor, but for the price I just feel like I was robbed. The appetizers and such though phenomenal.
I’d like to circle back to Kate, who was absolutely amazing, even plugged up my phone when it died, and took pictures of me with the unicorn pour michters! Service….10/10 Food…..5/10
Will still return but will probably stick to appetizers and burgers…..
I am very outgoing, extroverted, and friendly. Felt like our server wasn’t very welcoming but shrugged it off. Ordered truffle fries, they were good. Ordered a beer, it didn’t arrive until +20 minutes later once we got our entrees. I asked about it early on about 5-10 minutes after I ordered it and still didn’t get it. Once I got it, I didn’t want it anymore.
Felt like the server ignored my requests to the point I asked a different server that was a lot friendlier and she got me my drink almost immediately.
Burgers were good, but was tired of being there mainly because of the poor service, so I asked for the check and to go boxes. I was paying cash so I expected a check. No check arrived but our server said it was $55. Interesting. $55 for 2 burgers, truffle fries at $9 each, an Arnold Palmer (non alcoholic), and a beer. But wait. There’s more.
Im just fed up with the place that I just want to leave. So I pay the $55 with cash and as I’m about to walk out the door she says “We had you pay the wrong check” it was actually $65. Very pricey place and poor service. I know it’s a new place, and I loved the Craft bar in Destin but this just doesn’t strike the same accord. Really wanted to like the place too.
Honestly better off buying burgers at Publix and making them at home than coming back.
Craft Bar Niceville is an absolute gem! From the moment you walk in, the vibe is welcoming and the service is top-notch. May and Rachel are seriously the best — super friendly, attentive, and they make you feel like a regular even on your first visit.
The service is amazingly quick without ever feeling rushed, and they truly go above and beyond to make sure everything is perfect. Great drinks, great atmosphere, and even better people behind the bar.
Highly recommend stopping by and asking for May or Rachel — they make the experience unforgettable! ✨
