The food compounded our frustration, arriving in a slow trickle rather than all at once, prolonging our discomfort. The beef tacos, buffalo chicken tacos, chicken tenders with fries, street corn, and cheeseburger with fries were all notably dry and unappealing, each course a reminder of our unmet expectations as we waited. The bar drinks, far costlier than the $3.25 fountain sodas, were poorly prepared, further detracting from our enjoyment with each sip.
King’s Bar and Grill severely undermined our evening, leaving us emotionally and physically exhausted. The combination of inadequate service, an unwelcoming ambiance, and the gradual delivery of dry food created a highly negative experience. We departed feeling let down and undervalued, our investment of time and money poorly rewarded by an establishment that appears indifferent to its patrons. This is a venue we strongly recommend avoiding, and we advise others to consider alternatives to prevent a similar disappointment.
Unfortunately, the experience fell short. After we sat down, no one came to our table for over ten minutes, so we eventually decided to leave. The atmosphere felt flat, and when we asked about the menu, we learned they only serve fried food. For a place called a “bar and grill” it was disappointing not to see any grilled options at all.
I always want new local businesses to succeed, and with faster service, more variety, and a bit more energy, King’s could become a great addition to the area.
It took 20 minutes before anyone even acknowledged us, and when we finally got service, it felt like the bartenders didn’t want to be there. They seemed confused, distracted, and more focused on talking to each other than helping customers.
The atmosphere was dull and lifeless. No decorations, no music that fit the season, and the lighting made the place feel more like an abandoned warehouse than a bar. Tables were sticky, and the whole room gave off the feeling that it used to be something better but just gave up trying.
What was supposed to be a fun night out with friends turned into an hour of frustration and awkward silence. We left feeling genuinely sad that a place with so much potential could feel this empty. I’m so disappointed, and so was my entire friend group who heard this was supposed to be a new hip spot.
