We ordered from the lunch special (M-Sat), sesame chicken with pork fried rice and wonton soup, orange chicken with chicken fried rice and wonton soup, and pork egg foo young with a crispy egg roll. In sum, delicious food! I’d say this is a contender for another mom’s and pop’s Chinese restaurant that also makes savory, delish, pork fried rice. Usually, I get very thirsty after eating Chinese take out, but this time was different. The level of salt in the food is perfect (not salty at all) and the amount we paid, about $8.95 to 9.95 per combo meal is excellent at this age and time.

i’m really bummed because we have really liked this place and the portions are right, but the lemon chicken we ordered was severely undercooked and the batter wasn’t even fully cooked. really worried that i practically ate raw chicken, and hoping i don’t get sick 🙁
RESPONSE TO THE OWNERS: I have zero reason to lie, and I’m really turned off from your response… The other things on the plate are the beef in oyster sauce and a shrimp lo mein, which were also apart of our Postmates order, and those items were extremely delicious. To prove we’re real customers, the last name under the order was Fuentes and Postmates refunded us $55.67 on 2/15/26 after we put in a food safety issue with the order with photos sent to them. I don’t have any desire to tear down a small business, and like I said in the original review, I REALLY liked you guys, but I kind of have to say something about being served severely undercooked chicken. And now regarding how you’re accusing me of lying about something that would be so ridiculous for me to go out of my way to do. I still have my other leftovers. Would it make you feel better to see the food you made in the plastic bag with purple flowers on it in person along with some screenshots of our postmates order to confirm to you that we were real, paying customers?

Accidentally stumbled upon Xin Wong via DoorDash and now I’m completely hooked and I tell everyone about them! Xin Wong serves what has to be some of the most delicious Chinese food I’ve ever had. Each time I’ve ordered, it has arrived hot, fresh, and delicious! Highly recommend.

this is the best Chinese food I’ve come across in the area. everything we’ve order is always delicious, and the portion sizes are very generous, you can make at least two meals out of one entree. I really love the wontons and especially that it comes with a very generous amount of sauce, i love sweet and sour sauce and put it over my whole plate so this was an incredible plus for me!
most recently I ordered delivery on Christmas day, called to confirm their hours and delivery times and was told right away that the delivery times would be about 2 hours due to the high volume of orders. they were spot on with that time estimate, the delivery driver was very polite and waited at my apartment building entrance to hand me the order.
this will be a new regular spot for us! amazing service and incredibly delicious food, 10/10 for everything.

Ordered Large chicken fried rice and chicken egg foo yung. Fried rice was greasy all over, you can see the grease when you spoon it out. The taste is even worse. It tastes like the fried rice was cooked over an uncleaned/ unrinsed wok and has a foul aftertaste. What a waste. Egg foo yung was flat with hardly any ingredients. Never again ordering from them!

So good!!! We are from Iowa and have been in Minnesota for about 3 months now, and I was craving Chinese. I’m so thankful I found this gem. My husband had the orange chicken, I had beef lo main without vegetables, and we shared the fried rice and wonton. It cost $36, which is decent for the amount of DELICIOUS food we received. We’ll get several meals out of this easy.
Service was very fast, and everyone was pleasant.
Even the fortune cookies were yummy .
Thank you!!!

Food was pretty good. I had the Hunan Beef and it was pretty good. I do think the beef could’ve been cooked a little better, but it was still good. This place is also really convenient places as it is right along the route 18 bus and a 5 minute walk from the 46. It’s also convenient for biking as well as it is right on the Nicollet Avenue bike lanes and close to the bike lanes on 46th

The take out food was all delicious. Lots of vegetarian options. We ordered the orange chicken based on comments it was “a favorite,” and we definitely agree. Great egg and vegetable rolls (crisp and very flavorful). The vegetable fried rice was really great with big chunks of vegetables. Just wonderfully fresh tasting, piping hot at pick up, and lovely owners. It deserves its high rating.
Note: for the $20-30 price range per person, we ordered generously and had 2 to 3 meals from our order. Remember to grab condiments (soy, duck sauce) at the counter. I don’t think they were automatically added to the bag.

Really impressed by how quickly our take-out order was ready from the time we placed an online order! My daughter really enjoyed the traditional bean curd (tofu). We’ll definitely be back to Xin Wong in the future!

I wanted to like this place because of all the positive reviews, but it was underwhelming. Whatever happened to crab wontons? At least those had something besides straight plain cream cheese. The fried dumplings needed green onions, or more if it had any, to add to the taste. The beef wonton/dumping thing was decent but didn’t stand out. The orange and sesame chicken were solid-what-you’d-expect dishes. As for the lemon chicken, avoid it, it was the worst of the entrees because it consisted of battered chicken, which lacked salt, and a container of “lemon sauce.” The lemon sauce was kinda gnarly as it tasted like a butter dip with a sprinkle of lemon juice. It reminded me of the butter sauces for lobster but worse. Don’t get your hopes up and if you have medium to low expectations and you’ll be fine. To be honest, you might as well hit up Panda or Leeanns.
