I really liked it here. The food was great, server was very kind and the general atmosphere was fun too. This is a nice little spot to go to with friends. I had a pork ramen and it hit the spot after moving boxes all day. My table also had the ice cream plate, it was good for what it was. Sad to see their dessert menu was very small, but it’s ok since that isn’t the focus of the restaurant. Definitely recommend.

We just ate there and the experience was not what we expected. I hope management improves this for future customers. We came and sat ourselves. We ordered and the atmosphere was very heavy it smelled like old food. We ordered ramen and gyoza. The water came. The cap of the bottle was goes as if it was never washed. The cups were with residue on the rim. The waitress brought the cucumber to the table with her thumb in the ramekin. No gloves. The ramen is very oily, I get ramen has oil but the good places I’ve been too don’t have as much oil as they did. As well as their noodles clumped together undercooked. Their plates were covered in oil. We left very dissatisfied and disappointed. We were excited to try a new ramen place and this ruined our night.

All of the food that was prepared here came out delicious. I visited today for the first time & came in during a dinner rush. Despite that, the food still arrived at our tables promptly & tasted incredible. I can’t wait to visit this location again. The food is appropriately priced, & there’s a lot to choose from on the menu.

I used to love to come here and get the yuzu ramen, but today when I ordered it I almost gagged. The chicken looked almost raw inside and the noodles were hard. My girlfriend’s chicken ramen smelled so foul from the bamboo shoots. We didn’t finish our food (other than the appetizers which were pretty good). The seating is also horrendous. Awkwardly large benches that connect to other people dining. Plus the seat from the table is very far. Lastly why am I getting food and waiting 10 minutes for the person with me to get their food? This isn’t the first time this has happened to me at this location.

The salmon in the summer special salad was very fishy. Had to request a slice of lemon but it didn’t help too much. Two sauces come with it so that helped with the overall taste. Without the sauce it’s too bland.. The black sauce they give you with mayonnaise tastes wasabi like and it kind of tastes like that cold noodle soba you dip with soy sauce and wasabi. The chicken is crispy dipped in spicy mayo. The cold noodle was decent. Didn’t know it came with the chicken. We usually kill all our food but maybe the noodles were a bit much (so if you like big portions it’ll be good).

Horrible!!! Don’t eat here, literally the chicken was RAW and the miso soup the container was not even full, I recommend to go somewhere else where the food is properly cooked if you don’t want to get sick.

I came back to the Hackensack location after a year and was genuinely disappointed. What once was a ramen spot I would highly recommend, I now no longer want to go back. The service was terrible. They used to have amazing service when the older Asian woman was working there, but now the high schoolers working there forgot things I ordered and even with me reminding them 2 times, it felt like they didn’t even care. When I ended up canceling an item (and I ordered all items in the beginning at once) because they were saying “oh it’s gonna be a while longer, even though we were done with our meal at that point, they didn’t even say sorry. Just a “THATS FINE!” And the food also seemed to be not as good as it used to be sadly. Overall. I wouldn’t come back. Maybe the englewood location is still good but after this experience. It left a bad taste so I won’t be back. Sad to lose a good spot. Hope management works on bringing back the good service for future customers.

Truly enjoyed my experience at Ramen Azuma. The restaurant itself is very nice. The food was soooo good and the service was great. I ordered the Tonkotsu Shouyu and my daughter ordered the Chicken Shouyu. We absolutely loved it. We ordered a side of chili oil to give the ramen a nice little kick and added flavor. Would highly recommend this restaurant for anyone into ramen!!

Place is small, in the middle of a residential/industrial neighborhood. You wouldn’t think you’d find a place like this in the area. Very schiek, contempo, hip. Looks like it belongs in Jersey City. The place is small, cozy, dim lit. The food does the talking for this place. Prompt service, and non complicated menu.
Everything I had: edamame , ramen, the home made drinks, the dumplings…. Everything was great and reasonably priced. I will be back
