We first saw Exclusive Jerk when attending a comedy show next door, but finally had a chance to try it – and it is definitely going to be a repeat experience!
The food is phenomenal. I had the combo plate with jerk chicken, goat, candied yams, and garlic potatoes, and my wife had jerk chicken on a salad with a side of mac and cheese.
The meats were all fantastic, very flavorful and perfectly cooked. The candied yams and potatoes were the perfect accompaniment to the spicy sauce that we dipped the chicken in, but the mac and cheese absolutely stole the show. We’ve eaten more than our fair share of mac and cheese over the years, and Exclusive Jerk has the best mac and cheese we’ve had in kansas city. No contest.
If you haven’t given them a try, you need to visit ASAP!

The food here is honestly very good. Do your self a favor and taste what they have to offer. It’s full of flavor, you’ll be addicted to their food. I had the Jerk chicken Alfredo and a quarter of dark meat jerk chicken. I’ll definitely be back soon.

Every dish felt lovingly crafted, bold but authentic, and left me savoring each bite long after the plate was empty.

My first time at a Jamaican restaurant. I had the jerk chicken. It was pretty good. My wife had the ox tail, and she had no complaints. There was a cup of sauce in our bag. We didn’t know who meal it went with, so I dipped the chicken in it. Had a lil spice, but all around good food. Yams were not too sweet like when I grew up which is good since I limit any sugar going in my body. Mac was fire. The girl at the counter was nice and friendly. I told her I’d be back. The guy that called our number for the order being ready was nice and friendly too. Thank you guys.

The jerk chicken was seasoned to perfection—juicy, tender, and literally falling off the bone. The red beans and rice were flavorful and paired perfectly with the spices of the chicken. The macaroni and cheese had just the right consistency. And the candied yams? I ate them way too fast, but they were absolutely worth it! The dinner portion is generous so I will get another meal out of it.
Everything was delicious from start to finish. I give Exclusive Jerk a solid 5 stars and will definitely be back. Highly recommend!

Food was AMAZING we got the oxtails Mac & cheese with sweet potato’s. My daughter got the jerk catfish and my wife got the oxtails, red beans & rice sweet potatoes and greens. I didn’t care for the greens but everything else was cooked perfectly. We drove 45 min from home and we left super satisfied, will return

The food is exceptional and the best I’ve had in the KC area! I’ve been to two other KC restaurants, one in Central Kansas, one in Texas and one in NC. This is tied for the top spot I’ve been because the food is so good and authentic. The vibes inside match Jamaica as well. Service was amazing and quick. I had the oxtail, rice and peas, and plantain today. I was so excited for a restaurant that had plantain ready and available! I’ll definitely be back to try other dishes.

The food was phenomenal! We ordered the Shrimp Jerk Pasta, Jerk Chicken with Peas and Rice and Candy Yams and Macaroni and Cheese, Jerk Chicken with Cabbage and Garlic Potatoes. Everything was fresh and Seasoned.
