I have edited this review a few times now and our experience has been better on each occasion.
The Bangla Cottage closed down quite some time ago and the Eight Peaks Dine has taken its place.
I miss the BC but pleased that this new restaurant is an excellent replacement. Not much has changed inside apart from a very smart new floor covering and a few tweaks here and there. To be honest it doesn’t need anything doing to it.
New staff and chefs of course and all appear to be very experienced.
Stating the obvious but Nepalese / Indian cooking is quite different to your more common Bangladeshi. You will recognise nearly all the dishes on the menu however you can’t assume the spicing will be the same as you are used to. Don’t let this put you off as our meals were great, and it’s not just me who says this given the almost unanimous 5* reviews. Just tell them what you usually have and they will help you with the menu. No problems with any of the sides, all were as expected and the portions are very generous, too much for us but of course you can take leftovers home.
The Nepalese are renowned for their friendliness and service and these guys, especially the older gentleman are excellent. The only fault with the B C was that the service was often very slow, but not now. However it’s now the Xmas season and there are a few large parties that will obviously slow things down.
Prices are going up all around and you can no longer take your own alcohol but ‘you gets what you pays for.’ A place for those in the know and well worth a visit.
Free parking at the rear but you will need to put your registration in their tablet.

We have been coming to 8 Peaks Dine for over a year now, and it is the only place that we can go to eat and know that we will receive consistent food quality, flavour and service from the team. The staff here are so polite, friendly and attentive. The food here is exceptional, and we would really recommend the lamb as it is cooked to perfection every single time. Having tried many of the dishes from the menu, everything is superb. It was very clear from our first visit that the owner takes immense pride in his business and his son is a huge credit to him. We wish them all the success with their restaurant and we will continue to be regular customers. We are so glad that we discovered this gem of a restaurant!

This is one of the best Indian restaurants I’ve visited. The spices were perfectly balanced, and every dish we ordered was delicious. The biryani was aromatic, the curries were rich, and the portions were generous. The atmosphere was cozy, and the staff were attentive and polite. I will definitely be coming back!

Ordered online for delivery, extremely reasonable pricing. The delivery driver was dressed in the waiters uniform and looked very professional and classy! He was so polite and kind. Thoroughly enjoyed our meals, huge portions, so much flavour and didn’t give any of us a bad stomach the way most Indian restaurants do locally. Will definitely make this our regular place from now on!!

Very lovely food. First time at an Indian restaurant and never been a fan of indian takeaway but really enjoyed the food. The lamb in the dishes were top quality and so was everything else. Would highly recommend.
