In my opinion the Food here is cooked,an prepared traditionally for Mexican cuisine. I give a lower rating for service due to the fact we chose to sit outside. I felt as if they were more focused at 1st with the customers who dine inside. We were not offered any daily specials. However; the server did inform us that there was a lunch menu. Also that thoes times were over for that menu. Finally I most definitely enjoyed the esthetics and vibrant colored decor inside the establishment. In conclusion; I do recommend at least I can say I tried it stop here.

This place was so delicious! We are big Hispanic restaurant goers. This was one of the best places we have ever been to for delicious, fresh food. Tons of flavor! Moist meat! Fresh ingredients! Staff was very friendly and helpful. Great vibes. Super nice atmosphere. The decor is on point. We got several burritos, tacos, and several meals from the kids menu. All were fantastic. Highly recommend!

This was my 2nd time here and while I still enjoyed it I was a little disappointed. The food we had was all very good – a burrito, a burrito bowl and a quesadilla. We were a bit shocked at the price of the chips & salsa & guac for the amount you get. Also, the last time I was here and ordered a margarita it came in a much larger glass – and THAT size justified the price. The glass we were served this time was much much smaller yet they were still charging the same, a bit disappointed there. Everything is definitely expensive here.

Was a good place basic menu nothing too complicated. I got a burrito which was perfect size and grilled nicely. Jalapeño margarita was AMAZING ! My boyfriend got 3 tacos he really wanted the cheese curds taco which he said was very tasty. If your in the area its a nice place to stop. Service was great, restaurant was clean, and food came out quickly.

We really enjoyed this place, stopped in for a couple smoothie wine drinks, and ordered a bunch of tacos and played the Swing Ring game. The attendant couldn’t have been more attentive. Beautifully designed place, very new very modern. For sure we’ll be back. The frozen wine drinks are great! The Guac and chips great, very pleased!

Had a delicious lunch here on a hot day in Lake Geneva. The Frozen Strawberry Margarita was delicious and beautiful. We ordered 3 chicken tacos and a King Bean Burrito. Everything was delicious. The menu is simple and straightforward but allows for several personalizations of your meal. The service was friendly, attentive and fun. They accidentally put cheese on my tacos instead of guacamole and, while still delicious and I ate every bite, they still gave us a small discount for the mistake, while also making sure the guacamole upcharge wasn’t on the bill. They even offered us a small guacamole to go! Highly recommend them and I know I’ll be returning!

10 Stars, hands down! I come by every week to grab some steak tacos and chips & salsa. Each time, the food is perfect. The food always comes out quick, hot, and packed with flavor! Kevin and his staff are awesome and so accommodating. The atmosphere and vibe of the whole place is perfect. It’s so easy to eat, enjoy, and hang out. If you haven’t been yet, you’re missing out!

This is one of the rare times I’m blind-sighted by the Google ratings. This is a very unimpressive Mexican restaurant. The guac was delicious, I’ll give them that. But for $16, it should have been at least 3x the size. That portion is not shareable, it is small even for one person. Let’s move on. The tacos were at best sub par. The warm meat was topped by very cold garnish that didn’t pare well. Not a lot of flavor. Certainly didn’t enjoy paying $5 for a side of rice and beans. Wife seemed to like the burrito she got. Kids were content with the cheese quesadilla. So far, maybe 3-4 stars. But the absolute loser is the house margarita. Hands down the worst I’ve ever had in my life. It must be some store bought non alcoholic tasteless junk. I couldn’t even finish it. What a letdown. And they were out of local beers. There are way better options around downtown.

Steak tacos were great! Ordered the taco dinner and the rice and beans were just as good! We sat inside but they have tables outside as well. The atmosphere had a very cool vibe to it. They were playing oldies, runaround sue, jailhouse rock, and this magic moment. Customer service was excellent, 2 young adults with good hard working attitudes. No fountain drinks, just grab out of the cooler but they do offer alcohol drinks. Pay to park, but it’s worth it since it’s located near shops. Only thing needed was maybe a ORDER HERE SIGN, since people coming in were confused on where to order. Deff coming back for the great tacos!

As we parked two frat bros ran up to us and said dude this is best Mexican food at the lake. This is 100% the best Mexican food in lake Geneva. My kids ate 15 tacos between the three of them. No other restaurant looked as appealing, but at Guacstar the food and environment was perfect.The adults enjoyed some drinks while the kids played arcade games. We even got to try a family soup off the secret menu. Our waitress was super attentive and the food came out quickly. We will be going back up next weekend.
