The Autumn Experience
To clarify, this was my first visit to an authentic Vietnamese restaurant, so I cannot compare the dishes to anything else. Our order included chicken and beef satay, crab rangoons, duck noodle soup, basil beef stir fry, and the C15 noodle bowl. The sautés were as expected, but the crab rangoons had a strong onion flavor. The duck noodle soup and noodle bowls were lacking in taste, but the beef and basil stir fry was delicious.
My main disappointment was with our server, who was unaccommodating and lacked personality. Overall, this experience was underwhelming, so I am unsure if I will return or recommend it to others.

Everything about the meal was good, the food, the service, we didnt dine in but the atmospere was very nice when I picked up the food.. I gave it 4* cause I really felt that for the price that I paid for the 2 dishes, the portions could have been bigger..

Wow. I kind of didn’t have high expectations for this place but man am I glad I decided to stop here. Up there with some of the best Pad Thai I’ve ever had. I ate in the restaurant and the server was very polite. I did not have to approach the counter to leave. Great service, great food.

The Go to place for Pad Thai or red curry cravings. Fast preparation(15/20mins), organized and most of all delicious. Lots of Thai food in Portland area and Veranda is a standout. We’ve noticed a significant improvement in service and loving the order online option.

Beware if you have a food allergy, times have changed (May 2025)!
Today, we were told the only menu item that can be fixed gluten-free is the fried rice, and that only if gluten-free is specified when ordering.
For years, we have enjoyed their Pad Thai, as gluten-free, but were told that is no longer possible. We thought this was incredulous, and questioned the lady for clarity, which is only the fried rice is gluten-free and that only if requested when ordering.
Sad, because the are certainly other Thai restaurants who understand gluten-free.

Veranda Thai is not only the best Thai food I’ve ever experienced but is the best food I’ve experienced. The staff is always so kind and the atmosphere is one of the cutest and cleanest in Portland. Wish I could give 10 stars just like the Pad Thai I order
