I loved the shrimp poboy & the vibe of this restaurant. Unfortunately the server abandoned us after bringing our food. We had to physically find him to ask for refills & the check. I’m surprised by this considering every Hyatt we’ve visited in several states has exemplary service. In any event, the hotel is beautiful & I am happy we chose to stay here.

Amazing food, drink and service. Ty Pham made me feel right at home and comfortable while dining alone. I can’t wait to come again

Stopped in a a quick lunch and the staff was very welcoming. The food was ok, nothing to rave about. I had the pull pork sandwich, prosciutto flat bread and the gumbo. The flatbread was kinda hard and served cold. Tasted like crackers with toppings. The standout out was the gumbo. It was the best thing I had here, packed with lots of seafood and had a depth of flavor. Service was a little slow but I may have been because they were understaffed that day. The restaurant is locked inside the Hyatt hotel.

Way understaffed, as most hotel restaurants are these days. Order was forgotten twice, finally got my wings and they were incredibly overcooked. The sauce had little to no flavor, and the bottom of the plate was a pool of butter. Fairly pricey as well.

Personally, I’m quite the fan of a skunked beer. After having a couple of pints I was pleasantly surprised. Most bars and restaurants serve nasty fresh tasting beer, but not Vitascope!

The $40 burger meat “steak frites” was also quite delicious. Not the meat of course, but the chimichurri you’ve got to drown it in to make it edible. Plus too for takeaway, it’s very cool how the ketchup packets are the same color as BBQ sauce. So if you’re a fan of both, you can’t go wrong other than the rancid taste!

Lastly, the TV’s are at almost the perfect height. If they were any higher, I’d be staring straight up at the ceiling to watch them. It’s a great place to correct your posture because if you’re seated at the bar, it’s as though you’re going to the theatre and seated in the first row.

I’ve eaten here the past couple stays in New Orleans. The gumbo is pretty good for a hotel/restaurant bar and if I stay in the future would get the gumbo again. Skip the oysters, overpriced and way too small and the cheeseburger/po-boys. The drinks are pretty good.

Vitascope was a restaurant my mother and visited when we stayed at the Hyatt Regional Hotel. Now even though I loved the drinks and the sushi roll, I was not a fan of the desert. I’m not a fan of a mushy texture located in the middle of something.

Great oysters and sushi – what a wonderful surprise. Interesting atmosphere with TVs everywhere. Terrible pizza, and the wait to be seated and get water was way too long.
Great beyond vegan burger! Kids loved eating here.

The food was absolutely amazing! During our 5-day stay in New Orleans, we visited most of the city’s most popular restaurants, but surprisingly, the best food we had was right here at the Hyatt Regency restaurant. The shrimp, gumbo, oysters, and sushi were all delicious and top-notch.

Manager Arina and Kaleb made our evening truly special — warm, attentive, and full of great energy. Next time I’m in New Orleans, this will be the first place I come back to for an incredible meal.
