My heart hurts! I’ve been a regular customer for almost six years now, and I’ve always said that Zaika has the best Indian food in Denver. In fact it’s the best I’ve had anywhere. However… A few months ago I stopped in for a meal and noticed that everything tasted a little different: less flavorful, less decadent, and a little thinned-out, for lack of a better phrase. I figured it was an exception—an “off” day—but I’ve returned two times since and walked away with the same feeling: that things have changed and the Zaika I love is probably gone, lost to tough decisions that had to be made for any number of reasons. I’m leaving five stars because of all the amazing meals I’ve had at Zaika, and I wish the very, very best for the owners and staff, but for now, I will be looking for a new haunt.

Very little meat in chicken tiki masala. They charged me for garlic cheese nan and gave me garlic nan. Garlic nana was quite thin. Then they offered to sprinkle cheese on the Mann knowing that’s not how you make garlic cheese nan. They were polite but not polite enough to fix the mistake and make the man correctly. These place is cutting costs and if the obviously watered down softsoap dispenser did not give it away it certainly shows up in the food. Chicken was like small tofu squares and couldn’t if I was eating chicken or tofu. Meat did not have the texture of actual chicken but felt like some prepackaged deal. The chicken tiki masala was watery too. Shame bc they used to be a lot better and I call myself helping a local business but I won’t be back.

My first night in Denver. My son recommended this spot. It hit the mark. Everything was delicious and the owner came out and made us feel welcome.
We ate a lot and took some home for later. Highly recommend

We loved this place! The atmosphere was warm and pleasant on a cold night. The food was delicious – dahl soup, saag, kerala curry with lamb, garlic naan, and chai. Raj was sooo helpful and kind and responsive! What a delightful meal and time!

The quality of food was sub par but it was inexpensive. Ordered samosas and Kofta Keshari with onion naan. The servers were quite friendly and hospitable though. The place could also improve on hygiene. Wasn’t a very good location either. They had both indoor as well as outdoor seating. Wouldn’t recommend for a hearty Indian meal.

I would highly recommend the lamb rogan josh it was really tasty. And the garlic naan was also delicious and soft with loads of butter and garlic topping. The chicken lijjatdar wasn’t that great and I didn’t feel any flavors in it. The service was excellent!

Found this restaurant in Denver during a recent visit. What a pleasant surprise. Its a small joint and is a blend of Nepali and North Indian cuisine.
Ordered Lajjatdar and Rasili lamb at owner’s recommendation.
Great taste and something different.
The staff was great and welcoming. Owner took personal interest in making us feel comfortable.
All in all, great dining experience.

I stopped in for a change from fast food and was totally delighted. I ordered chicken biryani for a quick lunch and was delighted at how delicious it was. Cannot wait to go back and try more menu items. It was fresh and just the right amount of spice (medium is what I asked for). Can’t wait to go back and try more items based on their great reviews!!!

Stopped here on a random day about 2 years ago and have been a consistent customer since! Every time we dine in the service is amazing, the food is fresh, it’s reasonably priced, & the best part is they give you complimentary chai!
