Had a great southern meal! Fried chicken and corn chowder were exactly as expected. The chicken and biscuit was of the charts. Chicken pot pie was steaming hot. We had to add salt to most of the food, but that is a good thing for anyone concerned about their sodium intake.
Service was fast, friendly, and efficient. It’s worth the wait!

The building is really cool and next to a quant creek. The wait was around 45 minutes and the staff was spot on with being right on time. All the times we’ve came here the servers have always been top notch. The hamburger steak was very flavorful and they give you plenty. My son and I tried the American club sandwich which we regretted due to it being very bland and basic. My little guy ordered the kids grill cheese and didn’t eat it because of the hard cheese. The cheese looked like swiss cheese which we assumed would be American cheese. The corn chowder was great as usual and the hush puppies were fresh and amazing. So if you go definitely get the hamburger steak and you won’t be disappointed.

We made in at a time when we didn’t have to wait which was nice. Our server was quick, efficient and friendly. I loved the chowder and hush puppies. I ordered the open face turkey sandwich and it was massive! My daughter got the roast beef. It was all delicious!

What a great meal and experience for our trip!! Service was perfect and price was actually pretty cheap for the amount of food you get and quality!! Hard to beat the Old Mill!! I think we waited 20 min for a table and well worth the wait. We were quoted 20 min and almost exactly right. Great place to eat!

All I can say is you have to try this place while visiting! Everything was great; staff, servers, food, drinks, and the facility! I believe our server was Mike and he was awesome and caring! If you can make it in the morning before the rush comes in, this place is a must do kind of place! Best breakfast in town with everything tasting homemade and didn’t have to wait long at all! Family of 4 and we were in and out of the restaurant within an hour!

We had such a great experience at The Old Mill Restaurant. Looked up best places to eat in the area as we’re visiting our OOT. We went on a Monday afternoon, and the wait was very reasonable, about 20 minutes. The best part was being able to spend that time shopping in the Old Mill Country Store, and they call your party name over the intercom, which made it easy and stress-free. We actually tried to go the day before (Sunday), but the wait was over an hour, so I’d highly recommend a weekday visit if you can. Ended up settling to eat at Five Oaks Farm Kitchen…whomp whomp—- (will review later). Old Mill is WAY better.
We had a party of 7 and were seated at a beautiful corner table facing the water, which made the experience even more special. Service was prompt, friendly, and attentive from start to finish.
The food was absolutely incredible. We ordered catfish, chicken pot pie, liver, and country-fried steak. The kids had fried chicken and grilled cheese, and everything was a hit.
Every adult entrée came with corn chowder (hands down the best I’ve ever had) and hush puppies that were out of this world, especially with their sweet butter. The meal also included mashed potatoes and green beans with ham, all cooked perfectly and full of flavor.
Everything tasted homemade, comforting, and generous—- true Southern cooking done right. We left full, happy, and already talking about coming back. Will absolutely return!

There’s a long wait. But the food was worth it. They serve cornbread and dessert as a treat. We didn’t get to eat dessert, so they gave it to us, so we ate it later. It was delicious.
My son wasn’t the only one who didn’t like the chicken tenders. I tried it too, and frankly, it tasted like anything but chicken. Other than that, all the food was delicious.
The atmosphere is classic American.
I recommend it.

Dinner was delicious and included so much with the meal. Ribeye, Chopped Steak, Hushpuppies, Salad, Soup, Mashed potatoes, Green Beans, Blackberry cobbler with vanilla ice cream, Banana pudding, and an add on of catfish. Our server was Louis and he was wonderful. A very pleasant experience indeed.

Amazing!!!! Top resturant in the area for sure!!!!! We ate at the apple barn a day or two before and it has NOTHING on the old mill. The service was spectacular and super fast. The food was fresh and filling! You get so much food you could easily share with another person. We also talked family into trying it (they only eat togo due to health issues) and they went back for several days and got Togo food.
We arrived around 4pm and walked right in. The parking is a little difficult but its totally worth it. We walked around the little village before eating and bought a few goodies.
