Today we came here to celebrate our anniversary and this is the first time we came to this place. We ordered beef tar tare, escargots, and the steak frites. Beef tar tare was really good with the pickle and mustard sauce to bring out the chewy texture of the beef. The escargot with the bread was amazing! The herb and the garlic oil bring it to another level.

The main was really disappointing. Our friend highly recommended us this one. But all we can taste is overcooked. It has a bitter aftertaste. It doesn’t worth 69 dollars for this!

We ordered the beef tartare, oysters, salad niçoise & escargot for entrees; 3 steak frites, cod, wagyu burger for main meals, 2 creme brulee & chocolate bar for dessert. Our dinner came to almost $600.

Good for a date night, ambience and music was great. Service was definitely excellent, they were very attentive to needs, always pouring water in glasses when it was near empty. We felt well looked after and attended to. The front of house could’ve have been more specific that the tradition welcome drinks came with a cost, otherwise would have not purchased as most of the people in our table weren’t hard drinkers, given it was $10 a small martini glass.

Wagyu burger was a little bit salty and gruyere cheese was barely noticeable. We had beef tartare in Penfolds for lunch before coming here for dinner, and Penfolds offered more hand cut chips to accompany their beef tartare which we appreciated. Also wasn’t sure why we were asked if there was any celebration while booking when there wasnt any special / complimentary desserts. Other restaurants we’ve been in have given a small cake / glass of wine. We have tried plenty of french restaurants in Melbourne so we had a bit of comparison.

Steak was excellent & the cod with crab consomme was also great. Would have done a wine pairing with the meals if we didnt just visit a winery earlier.

We absolutely loved our anniversary dinner here! We ordered the escargot, octopus, steak frites and crème brûlée, the steak frites in particular were cooked perfectly, tender, flavourful, and easily one of the best we’ve had. The whole restaurant has such a charming, romantic vibe that truly feels like being back in France, from the décor to the music and service. It’s a bit on the pricey side, but honestly worth every dollar for the quality, atmosphere and service. Perfect spot for a date night or a special occasion. We’ll definitely be coming back! (Small note: It’d be great if you could add a contact number or easier way for customers to reach as we wanted to let them know we were running late but couldn’t find a way on Google or their website)

We visited La Louisiane last Friday to celebrate my birthday, and it was truly a memorable experience. From the moment we arrived, the staff were exceptionally friendly and supportive, making us feel very welcome. The live music added a wonderful atmosphere and made the evening even more enjoyable. The food was also excellent – beautifully prepared and full of flavor. Overall, it was a fantastic evening, and I would highly recommend La Louisiane to anyone looking for great food, warm hospitality, and a vibrant dining experience.

Came for dinner Saturday it was our 3rd time visiting and it just gets better each time we go.
We were lucky enough to get to try both of the entree specials and can I just say the special asparagus dish was next level an interesting dish you won’t find anywhere in the Adelaide fine dining scene.
The live music and attentive service from Rowan made our anniversary so special with the fun little surprise of our candle in our dessert to celebrate La louisiane is definitely our go to for the moments in life that deserve celebration

What a beautiful, incredible, romantic experience! The food was incredible – I had the baguette and ordered mushrooms from the vegan menu. We sat near a live jazz band, which was fantastic and the right level of volume to enjoy conversation with my partner. Staff were lovely. 10/10 dining experience.

A romantic place but a bit noisy. There are few French dishes here, the prices are expensive compared to the quality. The French snails and saucisson make us miss the days living in France. The steak is monotonous with quite salty sauce. We often drink good French wine but the prices are a bit high.

I’ve never been to France before, but if the places are like this, please take me there fast! I don’t want to give too much detail because I think everyone should experience the feels and the vibes in person, but from the moment you step down the candlelit stairs, you step into another world. A world of romance, curiosities, and pleasures. Everything I ordered was not just cooked to perfection, but the elements of flavor came together so well in everything. The live jazz music unlocked another portal to your dining experience. I dined alone, and hope to come back with a lover again. Highly recommend if you want to make yourself feel very special.
