When you walk into a place and the owner is the one who greets you, he’s the one who takes your order, then he walks into the kitchen to help prepare your food.
You just know, he is putting everything he’s got into making sure you are eating good food, he’s personally over looking everything, that’s the most basic version of a small business you can witness.
That’s before you even get your food.
The tortillas are hand made, on the spot, for your meal. The food is delicious, I’ve had several plates from their menu and I will keep going back until I have tried them all, but my favorite is the Carnitas Burrito.
If you go here, you still not be disappointed. Tell him I told you go here, he is a good dude and he makes great food!!!

Went here for the first time today, The guy behind the counter was super polite and made good recommendations on what to get.
The Birria tacos are absolutely amazing, And I had my food within five minutes to go.
I would 100% recommend coming here whether to dine in, or to place a to go order.

Amazing burritos. They are huge. This restaurant is family owned and very authentic. I highly recommend it. you can mix and match meats in your burrito too. Very good. Clean and simple dine in experience. Free parking. Big tables for big groups. Comfortable seating too. Soda fountain keeps your beverage full at all times.

I have been eating Taqueria Don Chuy tacos for years! In fact, I was visiting this place when they were a food truck in west central Minnesota before they relocated to Sauk Rapids. The pastor tacos are my absolute favorite, but you can’t go wrong with anything. These are hands down the best most authentic tacos you will find anywhere around! Even the tortillas are made from scratch! You would not expect to find a place like this in west central MN.
I have also never witnessed an establishment that cares so much about the quality of their product, they refuse to put out anything but the freshest food. On one of my visits, I decided to order a side of guacamole, after going to the kitchen, the owner came back to apologize and said he couldn’t make the guacamole because he thought the avocados were past peak freshness. They literally wouldn’t make it because it didn’t meet their standards, this is how much they care about the integrity of their food. I ordered fresh, made from scratch salsa instead and it was incredible!
A review can’t do this place justice; you must check it out if you are anywhere near the area!

We had a terrific lunch. I ordered the Barbacoa Quesadilla which was awesome! My husband ordered the Barbacoa Burrito, it was huge and also very good. We shared the chips and guacamole, it was delicious. The service was fast and friendly. The gentleman at the order counted was kind and answered all of my questions. The environment is clean, simple and comfortable. We will definitely go back!

First time eating here and it won’t be my last! Service was excellent! The gentleman working went through the whole menu and happily answered all my questions. The food was delicious and the proportions were great! Can’t wait to head back and try some more things on their menu. Highly recommend!

This was my go to place since they even opened. I know times are hard these days. Increase the price idc. No way should I pay $10 for quesadilla that’s half the size now. 2 burritos that’s ground beef and paid for carne asada. I’ve even put up is the 1-2hr delivery a couple times cause I know they are their own delivery through delivery apps to save money. Even then I still tip 8-10 bucks for a 7 minute trip 2 mile trip. It was good while lasted.

Very friendly staff. I love the barbacoa torta. Portions are huge, each of them are enough for a meal and more. Anything beef is tasty, not a huge fan of their chicken though. I will definitely come by more often in the future.

This was my first time here. I ordered takeout so I didn’t get the full experience of dining it. First thing I noticed was the inside of the place seemed pretty dated. Everything was clean and kept up, just had an old vibe to it. I went here to order some Berria tacos but was shocked to not see them on the menu. I ended up ordering a sincronizadas (that were delicious!!) and a couple tacos. The food was very good and good sized portions. The prices seemed inline as well. The gentleman who took my order was very nice and helpful when ordering as well. I will definitely try this place out again and will recommend it to friends.

Hands down has to be one of the best burritos I’ve ever had. The shell was very soft and the ingredients seem like they were very high-quality. The big guy behind the counter was also probably one of the nicest people I’ve ever met. I hope more people know about this place because it’s a hidden gem.
