I’ve been here so many times I’ve got too many photos to prove it . Don’t worry, I didn’t eat the whole menu in one day just came back a lot because it’s that good.
The pho broth always hits the spot, the noodles are perfect, and it’s the kind of comfort food you crave after a long shift. Super consistent, quick service, and always satisfying. Sometime I took too long I had to rush to finish to head back to work.
Definitely my little post-shift therapy in a bowl.
Such a cute and cozy spot! The food was super yummy, the vibe was chill and comfortable, and the staff were so kind—especially Pim, who made us feel really welcome
I had the crunchy spring rolls and shrimp summer rolls (no pics because I was way too hungry ), then the Pho Dặc Biệt, Hanoi-style Banh Mi, and finished with the most perfect Flan Cà Phê.
I dare you to try the Pho—the portion is HUGE and totally worth it! Trust me, you’ll leave full and happy
The Pho is delicious, even if it’s not the best I’ve ever had. And the noodle salad (forgive me for not remembering the name) was the definition of “refreshing” for a hot summer day.
The real star, however, is their flan dessert. Easily, this is one of the best desserts I’ve had in all of New York City. The firmness of the flan paired with the sweetness of the condensed milk, all in a bath of rich (yet smooth) Vietnamese coffee and covered in crunchy coconut flakes… I haven’t stopped thinking about this dish and it’s been two weeks. Just incredible
Long story short, my experience was horrible.
I ordered crispy spring rolls and Oj(?) pho.
The spring roll seemed excessively greasy, lacking any crispiness, and was soaked in oil, making it soggy and chewy. As a result, I started feeling increasingly nauseous but forced myself to eat it with the pickles that came on the side. Then, the pho arrived, and the meat had a very strong, unpleasant smell. While the broth was tasty, the odor from the meat was so overwhelming that I nearly gagged. I cautiously informed the server, who replaced the dish, but the new meat also had the same smell.
I’m not sure if the meat was old or if it was poorly handled, but I’ve never experienced this at any other pho restaurant. In the end, I had to remove all the meat and tried to eat the noodles, but I felt too sick to continue. I asked for a to-go box, but when I got home, I found that the broth had leaked everywhere. Plus, the vegetables for the pho was not fresh at all. The piece of the lime was very dry. I squeezed it hard, but it didn’t have enough juice.
Ultimately, I couldn’t properly enjoy my meal and ended up throwing everything away. If I had known the to-go container would leak, I would have carried it by hand instead of putting it in my bag. My dinner was completely ruined. I will never go back and definitely do not recommend this place.
