The service is always friendly and the atmosphere is welcoming. They also have delicious sake and good beer. It’s a perfect place for a family dinner, but I’d definitely recommend it for a date night too
Excellent food variety but the novelty experience of the conveyer belt will be dependent on how busy the restaurant is. Friday evening? You’ll be straining your arm to use the monitor more than picking from the belt. How about a slow Tuesday evening? You’ll get a better belt experience. Food quality is decent, seems fresh but preparation and consistency seems all over the place. Sometimes you get fair size pieces, other times you don’t.
Price? It may seem reasonable at first for $3.85 per plate but don’t let that fool you. The plates add up, side dishes or off menu items (drinks and specials) ADD UP. If everyone’s hungry, the plates and prices can easily add up to high end restaurant pricing.
Finally, our server was amazing, he was was extremely busy but still attended to us in a timely manner. We had a few issues with our machine but he was able to resolve them. To top things off, the birthday ended up a taiyaki with the robot birthday fanfare, it was so cute! The other times I’ve gone when the restaurant wasn’t packed, service is also prompt and polite.
Go for the experience and decent sushi. Don’t go for the promotion collaboration because our resident Kirby fan is now depressed.
Tip: Do make a reservation on weekend evenings
1. At this price point, this level of quality and variety is more than we could ask for. You even offer mackerel, which is usually only found at higher-end sushi restaurants, and the soft-shell crab tempura was surprisingly well done with no fishy smell at all.
2. The staff’s attitude was also professional. They spoke to us only when necessary, which allowed us to focus on enjoying our meal.
3. The only criticism I have is the tantanmen. The broth should never be this overly sweet. While some level of Americanization may have been unavoidable, it was disappointing. There was no noticeable peanut base, and the chashu was sliced too thick and so overcooked that it fell apart.
Despite this criticism in point 3, we are more than willing to return, so I will not be taking away any of the five stars. As long as you continue to maintain your current quality and hygiene standards, we would greatly appreciate it. Happy New Year.
I ordered an otoro. Wanted to check it out. For what the price was $3.85 seemed too good to be true. As I got the Order. There was still blood on the nigiri. And than I was told my the waiter that all the pieces have blood on them? That explains why it’s $3.85. I wouldn’t recommend getting otoro or uni from this places. Here is a picture of the otoro. Is this something you’d want to eat? No , the fact the waiter told me that all the pieces come like that make me second guess if they are properly take care of the fish or the food. And are they really make it fresh when you Order it instead of getting from the conveyor belt? Are the chiefs not aware that having a little blood on the fish throws of the flavor? Do you think anyone wants to taste blood in the otoro??? After hearing the waiter tell me that all the otoro pieces have blood on them. Shows to me that they don’t have the proper knowledge of sushi. If you want cheap sushi and you don’t care this is the place. But for higher Quality cuts, and fish I’d go elsewhere. I’m definitely not coming back after today.
Update came back again. Gave them second chance. Maybe it’s just a bad order from the vendor.
Order myself another o’turo from them second picture shows the quality again. Now I’m not pleased or happy. And do the chefs have any pride in the food they make? Ya I don’t think I’ll recommended this place to anyone. If you’re drunk and don’t care this is the place.
Don’t get me wrong- I’d go back – just an honest review.
