The best gyro i’ve ever had in my life! I’d been seeing great things about this place, and finally decided to try. Small, hole in the wall and mainly takeout no frills place. The lady up front was incredibly friendly and hospitable to everyone who came in. I got the grilled chicken gyro, greek fries, and hummus. Everyone was made from scratch and delicious. The chicken was seasoned to absolute perfection and so juicy and moist. The tzatziki was the perfect compliment, definitely homemade; it was more on the lemony side, maybe a tad too much but nothing that wasn’t tolerable. The greek fries were a nice twist and delicious! The hummus wasn’t my favorite that I have had because it had strong hints of garlic and other citrusy things. The pita however, that they served it on came fresh, hot and slightly crispy on the edges while still maintaining its light structure Overall, amazing place and definitely check them out if you’re looking for a delicious, cheaper, and relatively healthy meal or snack!

I had such a great experience at Nick’s Gyros, especially considering it was a last-minute dinner decision and I called in about 10 minutes before closing.

The young lady who answered the phone was incredibly warm, pleasant, and welcoming. Instead of rushing me or discouraging the order because of the time, she encouraged me to come on in — and I truly appreciated that. I was already excited because I had been craving this for dinner, and her kindness sealed the deal.

When I arrived, the food was already being prepared, and I only had to wait about 2–3 minutes. I ordered the veggie gyro, which was absolutely superb — fresh, flavorful, and well made. I also decided to add an order of fries once I got there, and there was no issue at all. They came out quickly and were just as good.

All around, this was a fantastic experience — great customer service, efficient timing, and delicious food, even right at closing time. Huge kudos to the team for ending the night on such a high note. I’ll definitely be back!

Authentic Greek Flavors Worth the Wait
A local favorite, delivers authentic Greek flavors in a no-frills, takeout-focused setting. While seating is limited to outdoor picnic tables and restroom facilities are absent, the quality of the food more than compensates for these minor inconveniences. Be prepared for a wait, as the high demand attests to the popularity of their delicious offering. Our order consisted of a delightful array of Greek specialties. The lamb gyro was a standout, with tender, well-seasoned lamb and fresh toppings. The spanakopita was flavorful, a perfect balance of spinach and feta. The Nick’s burger, a unique take on a classic, was juicy and packed with flavor. The Greek-style fries. The falafel pita was also very flavorful, and a great vegetarian option. Each dish showcased the rich and authentic flavors of Greek cuisine. Parking is very limited. If you are going during a busy time, be prepared to potentially have to find parking in surrounding areas.

The gyro combination, priced at $15.00, feels quite overvalued for what it offers. Additionally, the service I received from the lady at the counter left much to be desired; she wasn’t very friendly or welcoming. However, I have to say that the flavor of the gyro itself was outstanding and truly enjoyable.

Denote: FYI—Military or First Responder is not offered.

Today was my first visit after seeing this restaurant on Instagram. They’re not open on the weekends so I left work at 4:30 and drove about 40 mins with traffic. I was excited to try this place but sadly I will not return due to their customer service. My partner and I ordered; me, a gyro and onions rings and him a gyro plate. When we got our food we went to the car to eat. At that time we noticed the other times that come with a plate are missing: rice, fries, or a salad. He went back and told the lady that took our order that it wasn’t complete. She looks up the order and said that he’ll need to pay $11 more but would push the missed items up to the front of the order line. She also asked him to go out to the car and bring back the gyro (he left it in the car thinking she’ll remember that she missed these items and just give him the missing item). He returns to the car and takes the gyro inside and gives it to her. She does not apologize for the missing items or clearly say, “sorry customer I didn’t charge you correctly initially so if you want what comes in the plate I’ll need to charge you). After looking at the menu we figured out that she didn’t change for him the plate only for two gyros and onion rings. If she would have clearly stated it was her ordering mistake I probably would not be leaving this review. But no sorry, no anything. She just look at him like he was crazy. It’s sad that business don’t take more care in providing great customer service anymore. First and last visit.

Nick’s is without a doubt the best gyro you’re going to get in Atlanta. I’ve been eating there for 20 years whenever I’m in the neighborhood. This is a to go only place, though they do have a couple tables in the parking lot. Be warned that you’re breath is going to be garlicky after you eat, but it’s worth it!!

I ordered a single burger with a side Greek salad, $17. The size of the burger is the size of slider, the greek salad isn’t worth $6 AT ALL, the container it comes in now is much smaller than before.I don’t eat burgers often but when I decide to I expect a good juicy burger, the buns are very small, my burger didn’t even fill the bun. This place isn’t the same, I use to order lunch often from this place, today was the first time I’ve been since they reopened and it’s the last. Y’all increase price but decrease the serving size. It’s not worth the money. If you want an oversized juicy meatball for a burger this is the place. And they charge $3 for a can drink..

Nick’s was once the best place in all of atlanta to get traditional, great tasting, quality food. I’ve been working at Grady Hospital for almost 25 years, and Nick’s was always my go to when I wa nted great greek food. NO more. I’m assuming the younger generation in the family has taken over the business and it’s evident. They are selling french fries with a sprinkle of oregano and calling them Greek Fries. They are no longer slicing the meat, you’re getting chips and pieces. Not to mention, mine had hair in it. “I HAVE PICTURES” And I cannot forget the tzatziki sauce, they are now someone’s greek dressing. No longer, light and fresh tasting, but rather full of salt and whatever else they put in it. No more….. I hate it, but it is, what it is. the days of winning awards for best greek food are gone. I will call the Atlanta Journal Constitution and advise them of a great story of a “once” great place.

Very very tasty. Very casual. Small portions and they charge $1 to add red onion – seems a little steep for a very casual take out spot. Added feta for $1.5 and barely noticed it.
