Best Chinese food I’ve had in Washington. I highly recommend the crispy fried chicken, house special beef, house fried rice house chow mein and shrimp egg foo young. Average price for Chineese food, but well worth it.

We love Hunan Garden, owners and staff. Our tradition of Cristmas Eve dinner went beyond expectation for beautiful tasting food and service. It’s tough to pick my favorite though I will go back for the hot/sour soup and egg roles.

We have been coming here for years, the women that owns this restaurant is absolutely amazing and kind. About 7 years ago she showed my husband and I how to use chopsticks, and talked to us about her culture. 7 years later (the other day) we went in again with my in-laws. We ordered the dinner for 4, which was delicious! We never leave this restaurant hungry. And to top it off, we saw the owner again, and she is just as amazing and kind as she was 7 years ago. Had a great conversation about local Oysters, and left with a caring hug. Only good things to say about this place.

I don’t know how I have been overlooking this gem! My family came to town and we decided to give it a try, I am so thankful we did. The atmosphere is very authentic and welcoming. The service is excellent, and the dinner meals are such a great deal! The rice soup is delicious, the dumplings are plump and delicious, the Mongolian beef is tender and well seasoned. Very reasonably priced for a great dinner! We have been back and can’t wait to continue!

We have gone to this restaurant for over 15 years. My kids and I order Christmas Eve dinner every year from Hunan and have enjoyed it every year. On occasion we’ve been lucky enough to receive a new year calendar from the owners…they’re always beautiful scrolls that I keep. Although I have seen several comments about bad food and high prices, I have NEVER had either. Their meals for 2-10 people always have leftovers, appetizer and soup. The prices are good for the amount of tasty food!

Best Chinese in Lakewood! Cream cheese wontons are a must have appetizer. We get Peking chicken wings to share on every visit. Mongolian beef is excellent, Honey Walnut Prawns very flavorful. Haven’t had a dish I wouldn’t recommend! The flavor profiles are spot on, the atmosphere is casual quiet, service is fast, friendly and efficient. And they do the dishes! Life is good!

The food was all very good, fresh, hot and left us all full. The veggies used were fresh. We had a group of 7 and had the family style dinner and ordered extra walnut shrimp. The sizzling rice soup is a good choice, I want to try their hot and sour soup next visit as that is a favorite of mine, I added a little soy sauce to the soup. I liked the Mongolian beef the best and garlic chicken, both had a good mixture of veggies and meat. The wonton 2 each went fast and were fresh.. We had a new waiter who was learning the ropes, Ian you did good and made is laugh. Wish I had taken pictures but we will be back.

Not really a big fan of Chinese food but there is something about the food here. It tastes really good. I had sweet and sour chicken ,house chow mein, and fried rice. Our server was also very nice and attentive. They made a small mistake on our order and she immediately apologized and suggested a correction but we were so hungry and just ate what we got. If you are in Steilacoom and wanting Chinese food.. I recommend coming here.
