I randomly decided to try this place, and at that moment I didn’t even know it was going to be the tastiest pizza of my life.
Really, I’m not joking! Pizza number 4 was perfect for me — cheesy, full of mushrooms, and topped with truffle paste. It’s my favorite combination! How did they know?.. haha
I also ordered a cider, which was really good too. The café had great music playing.

Absolute circus. We went to Nole after a day of sightseeing because of the glowing Google reviews, and honestly, I’m convinced half of those must have been written by staff or people who’ve never eaten proper pizza.

The restaurant wasn’t even busy when we arrived. We ordered 3 pizzas and 2 sides. 45 minutes later, people who walked in after us were happily eating while we sat there waiting. When I went to ask, I literally watched staff pull a piece of charcoal (they called it zaatar bread) from the oven and carry it straight to our table as if nothing was wrong. Another side sat on the counter getting cold for 5+ minutes before someone lazily dropped it off.

No cutlery with the sides either; when I asked, the waitress said, “they’re being washed.” You know you’re in trouble when a restaurant can’t even provide forks.

Then came the pizzas. One was so burnt it looked like it had survived a house fire. When I complained, the waitress actually said: “That’s how it is, look around you, everyone’s pizza is burnt.” Incredible. By her logic, if one is burnt, one must be raw, right? We told her exactly that, only then did she reluctantly take it back. By this point, we’d been waiting over an hour and were forced to share the remaining two pizzas like scavengers.

The second side (zaatar bread) came out blackened too. Honestly, I wouldn’t feed it to pigeons. They replaced it, but we had to pack it all up because our parking was about to expire. And to top it off, they gave us a container of oil for takeaway. Without the lid!! Who does that?

The service here is beyond hopeless; slow, careless, dismissive, and borderline rude. The food is… edible, but only once you’ve escaped the chaos. I’m currently eating the pizza for breakfast at home, and it tastes way better without the side of incompetence.

Save yourself the pain. If you live in Salisbury, just order delivery. If you’re visiting, go literally anywhere else. This place survives on hype, not quality.

Sophisticated yet modest, Nole pizzas do not miss a beat. Not trying too hard but trying hard enough, creating something proper special. Flavours on point, great atmosphere at the Tavern and two very happy customers. A Salisbury must visit

Had Nole pizza at the Tavern pub next door. The pub itself is lovely. The pepperoni pizza did not quite work for me. It was completely covered in hot honey to the point that it tasted more like honey on toast than pizza. The sweetness overpowered everything else, so I could barely taste the cheese or pepperoni, and there was no real heat to the honey, just sweetness. Also I know cost of living… but the cheapest pizza is £15 and it’s a Margherita – little bit steep!

The tenderstem broccoli was delicious though and the highlight of the food.

The lunch special (12pm-4pm) £10 per pizza is a bargain for such good pizza.

They also have special toppings which they rotate every few weeks, we had the serrano ham and it was delicious. Garlic and herb dip was also great. Would definitely visit again.

I’ve eaten here three times over the last year due to Nole’s advertisement of “gluten free” pizza bases. The first two times, I ordered gluten free and specified I was coeliac to the staff, was brought my pizza and double checked it was gluten free to be told it was. Had the pizza and it was yummy. (For anyone wondering why I went back again… I am a silent coeliac so don’t get dramatic stomach cramping, however do get long-term damage)

The last time I went, I ordered a pizza, specifying I was coeliac only to be told the pizza was cooked in a communal pizza oven on shared surfaces and would be cross contaminated! This makes it not gluten free… What is the point of advertising gluten free food (Which is a legally-protected term!) on the menu if the method of cooking it then renders it not gluten free?

I am concerned at the inconsistency of notification of this by the staff and was, as a result, given food I was allergic to.

I hope this review will give some advance warning to any other GF people out there so they don’t make the same mistake I did…

We fancied Pizza, we were in the area – we chose Nole on the square….. and bloomin’ glad we did!!!
We’ve been to Italy , so we know what great pizza actually tastes like.
Nole is top notch

We shared a Pepperoni + chilli-honey which was delicious. Great dough, thick gooey cheese with very flavoursome thick-cut pepperoni

Decided to sit upstairs where a couple of other diners were to add in some atmosphere seeing as it was a quiet evening.

Great pizza, short menu all with delicious ingredients. Staff happy to recommend & variety of sides if you think the big pizza size won’t fill you up! Vegetarian choices varied & option to eat in or takeaway. Boxes available if you need a doggie bag. Staff are friendly & there is beer on tap – all in the centre of Salisbury at great prices.

If you’re ever in Salisbury, you have to try Nole Pizza. I had their Meat Special—ground beef, spring onions, gochujang mayo, sesame seeds… sounds random but it’s SO good. The place is small but super cool, kinda hidden gem vibes. Definitely worth it!
