Wanted to see my friends in karaoke tonight. Unfortunately the DJ skipped her and myself multiple times allowed others the sing time and time again. When I asked he said well it’s whoever asks the most. Unfortunately, this is not fair to anybody. It could be a decent place but unfortunately if you want to go have a good time with your friends. This is not the place to go.

Zen bar is a great place to enjoy some top notch bar food and karaoke 7 days a week. Peter makes the most delicious food, his specials are creative and tasty!! I especially love when makes jambalaya Giancarlo always recommends the perfect drink pairing and will even sing you a song while he mixes it!! Jamie, Alexis and Angela run a fun and fair karaoke rotation, it’s always a fun time. This place is my safe space. I recommend it to anyone looking to have a great time in a safe environment

Went for a date and it went great! We both loved the atmosphere of the bar. We enjoyed the lively mixed crowd of people. We enjoyed the sound system they have for the karaoke and their overall set up. Wish I could say more about the food, we only had a basket of large seasoned fries and they were exactly what you’d want when ordering seasoned fries, both crispy and well seasoned we had no problem finishing it between the two of us. Our tiquila sunrises came out great made by the friendly bartender with the visor. I also don’t know any other spots in Connecticut that does Karaoke 7 nights a week, so if that’s your fancy go check it out you won’t be disappointed, Cheers!

Ive been going to this bar for 5+ years, honestly I LOVE karaoke and I LOVE the safe space for LGBTQIA+ , Peter M. An AMAZING chef, stands up for the customers if there’s an unruly guest and makes sure that bigoted racists know they’re NOT WELCOME. This bar is for enjoyment and excitement! Keep your politics at home and your religion to yourself love this bar.

Stopped by after work, pleasantly surprised to find kitchen open after 10pm. Food was excellent worth coming for alone, will definitely be coming back and service great. Nice atmosphere with karaoke and pool table. Shout out to Giancarlo for the custom burger!

My usual Monday night karaoke spot was cancelled, so I was referred to this spot. I was nervous at first because I was the ONLY person of color there. However, the bartender and cook made me feel welcome. I ordered the expresso martini and steak & cheese quesadilla. The drink was good and not too strong but the quesadilla was BOMB! So good and he served it piping hot off the grill. I will be returning to try the sausage and pepper quesadilla next. They also gave me a card that next time I come, I can get a free shot on them. Now to the karaoke. I felt the DJ was rotating singers according to her choosing. I state this because I was the 4th or 5th singer in rotation, yet when the second round started I was told I was further down the list. Yet an individual that came waaaaay after me “mysteriously “ was on the mic singing a second song… (hence why I took 1 Star off)
