I visited this place for the first time today and wow I was blown away! The menu had so many tasty sounding sandwiches that I was overwhelmed on what to buy. So, I went with a good ol’ trusty Italian beef. And boy I was blown away! Honestly the Italian beef was probably the best Italian beef I’ve ever had!!! Tasted absolutely delightful! I don’t think I will order any other Italian beef anymore, because this is the one! I also ordered the antipasto salad which looks great but i haven’t tried it yet. The deli has a large assortment of deli products and such. I can’t wait to try other things! Great place i will definitely be back!

This place is full of delicious sandwiches, Gelato, cookies and a ton of other Italian delicacies you usually find on Taylor Street in Chicago!! So imagine how happy I am that I can find these items in Northwest Indiana!! I got an Italian beef sandwich and it five stars!! Definitely one of the regions best!!

The cannoli is better than Ferr••••. They’re amazing. Courteous staff, they’re like family. The Italian sausage is the highest grade. I like the array of Italian cheeses. If you stop in I highly recommend an Italian beef sandwich or a Michael’s Favorite Sandwich. They carry the Arborio rice which is a necessity for risotto for us. Top notch in my book.

The moment I walked in I was greeted not as a customer, but as family. The staff and atmosphere was pleasant everyone had a welcoming demeanor. They were patient with me and answered any questions I had. Also. The owners were interactive with with everyone even greeting some people by name given a sense of community and appreciation for everyone that walks through their door. All and all I love the Food the staff and the owners. I will definitely be returning.

I heard good things about this deli. I love Italian grocery stores. I got the wise guy sub and the canoli. It was great. Glad to see Illinois isn’t the only place with good Italian markets. I did a review for my YouTube channel “Mailman Nick”

First off, why I don’t frequent this place more is a mystery. Yesterday I went to purchase a Italian sausage sandwich for lunch. I decided to try some Italian pasta salad and olives. Had a great conversation with Tony and his staff. The sandwich was huge! I could only eat half of it. I got it with mozzarella cheese, mild giardiniera and red sauce. It was delicious! The salad was awesome and I will definitely purchase more. The olives are great! I normally head east on 93rd to 41 for any business I may have, instead of heading west and north on sheffield towards Dyer, which may be the reason I haven’t stopped here more often. Well, that’s going to change. Definitely a 5 star deli you need to try!

Update: Came back and tried the diavlo panini, excellent. This is a 5 star deli.

Saw a post from the owner of Turano Bread about Tony’s Deli in Dyer and had to stop in. Great choice using Turano, but the sandwiches themselves were outstanding—fresh, flavorful, and made right. The service from the girls working the counter was just as impressive: friendly, fast, and welcoming. Truly a hidden gem in Dyer, Indiana. Highly recommend.

Had the veggie panini very good , as was the Italian beef my friend had. He said it was the best Italian Beef, he ever had. We will be back again. To try something different on the menu. Best Italian deli around.

Nice Italian deli with basic fresh options and lots of shelf and frozen options that are either imported or made from scratch. We bought items to make a sandwich and took it home and ate it right away. DO NOT PASS UP THE TOMATO FOCACCIA. It reminded me of some the excellent sandwiches I would get in Chicago. We will definitely buy one every single time we stop in. I was tempted to try one of their fresh desserts but at $5 each I couldn’t pull the trigger. (Maybe I’m just ignorant to the going rate as I rarely buy fresh to go desserts.) But I’m sure they would have been delicious as they looked it! Owner (I’m assuming, or manager but definitely got the owner vibe) was super kind. We definitely come back to local places that treat you like family!
