I really wanted to give a better review but unfortunately several things were not right with my meal. I ordered the parrillada which was a dish with various meats. The chicken was overcooked and very dry, the steak was cooked at a well done temperature and the tostones were as hard as rocks. The restaurant is very nicely decorated and the service was good, I wish the food would have been less over done.

used to eat here regularly in the summer. The tacos were excellent, the chicharrón was delicious, and the staff were always friendly. I even recommended this place to friends — but after tonight, I won’t be returning.

The restaurant placed this bright yellow towing sticker (photo attached) on my car window for parking in their lot. While they’re within their rights to monitor parking, this sticker was extremely sticky and difficult to remove, leaving scratches on the glass. A simple note or verbal warning would have been more appropriate.

When I went inside to ask about it, I was met with a rude response from a woman named Sandra (if that’s her real name). She first claimed the owner wasn’t there, then changed her story and said she was the owner. When I asked to leave my contact information for the actual owner, she refused, laughed in my face, and ignored my questions.

I’m also very pregnant, and it was almost 10PM — I just wanted to leave my information and go home. Instead, she insisted on seeing my car immediately, dismissed the scratches as “nothing,” and then walked over to a gray truck to gossip about me in front of others. Completely unprofessional and unnecessary.

The only person who showed any decency was the man taking out the trash, who was polite and apologetic.

I won’t be supporting a business that lies to customers, disrespects them, and damages their property without accountability. There are plenty of other restaurants nearby that actually respect their patrons.

The food is good for when your missing that Colombian flavor, however service could be better. Nice atmosphere, and always good music. Definitely for those that enjoy that paisa atmosphere. I would like to see all items be available all day however. They stop serving migado around mid-day.

I’ve been to Parchados en la Fonda twice now, and both times have been incredible! Their presentation is really top tier, especially on their drinks. They have such fun Halloween cocktails at the moment! The food is always so delicious – my favorites are the corn dip, empanadas, and paella croquettes. The servers are so friendly! I just love the decorations here and especially down in the covered patio the vibe is great. I can’t wait for many more visits here!

This is a great find!
The food is delicious, definitely!
Authentic, tasty, great music, friendly service, accommodating, varied areas, colorful, a little piece of Colombia ❤️

Great presentation, clean and colorful bathroom with many “Colombianadas” Colombian colloquialisms

The opportunities:

Friday night dinner: we had to move because of the rain, we were sitting on the terrace, the area that we moved to right around the corner and the mosquitos in that corner were relentless!!! It definitely made our daughter very uncomfortable and we had to end our dinner early, so bummer, the restaurant meed to treat the terrace and the plants right outside the terrace for unwelcome pesky guests.

Saturday lunch: service was slooooooowwwwwww
After serving the food it took a long yime to have someone come around to check in on us.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at this Colombian gem in Bridgeport, CT, and it was an absolute delight! The atmosphere felt like a lively party at home, creating a warm and welcoming ambiance. The food was outstanding, especially the Casuela which was expertly prepared in the kitchen. The flavors were authentic and truly captured the essence of Colombian cuisine.

What really stood out to me was the excellent customer service. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, making sure that our dining experience was top-notch from start to finish. Overall, I would rate this restaurant 5 out of 5 stars. If you’re craving delicious Colombian food served with a smile, look no further!

HONEST REVIEW!!!

Me and my partner are big foodies, and we love trying new restaurants around the area. As a colombian myself I wanted to try this place, and so we did, I will write down the pros & cons of the restaurant & the food below.

PROS :
– The service was good
– The empanadas were fresh and unique, they have different styles of empanadas which was really cool!
– The sancocho was delicious, and the presentation was great!
– The coconut lemonade was to die for, reminds me so much of my childhood
– The atmosphere is nice, it’s really cute inside, the restaurant transports you to Colombia as soon as you walk in.

CONS:
– DO NOT GET THE BEANS!!!! I was surprised to taste the beans on the bandeja paisa, I mean , beans are such a main ingredient in our main dish, and for it to taste like canned beans had me so disappointed, it’s true what the reviews say about the beans, so make sure you get something different.

The food here is excellent, and the staff is great! I love the way the restaurant is decorated. It’s family-friendly, and they have average prices. There is outdoor seating as well. They have a small parking lot in the back.
