TLDR: solid food for fair prices
We got the lunch special with half shrimp po-boy, French fries and a cup of gumbo as well as a hoecake and a lemon pound cake. The shrimp were good and large, the hoecake was decent but I wish they gave us something to keep it moist like some kind of sauce. The lemon cake tasted like something you’d get from Starbucks, not really tasting homemade or fresh but still ok in taste.

One of the best meals I’ve had in the city. The flavor was so deep in every bite. Went with the smoked cochon gumbo and would order this again in a heartbeat. Wasn’t exactly spicy, but by the time I was finished I had the meat sweats! Can’t wait to come back.

Was visiting San Francisco for part of my birthday trip and stumbled upon this hidden foodie gem. The food was sooo good! I ordered the smoked turkey gumbo and a shrimp poboy. I’ve visited NOLA several times and eating this meal definitely gave me nostalgia. 10/10 definitely recommend! Can’t wait to come back

Oh boy, Po’Boy did not skimp on the shrimp! Delicious, tasty, and very filling for the price point. I never thought I’d find fries more satisfying than Mc Donald’s but here they are! Fries were perfect and salted just the way I like them. My only negative is not asking for that sauce to dip my fries in. Plenty of hot sauces to choose from, staff were great, spacious and clean dining experience. I coming back for the gumbo next!

The gumbo here is the best. It feels like flavor bombs blowing up in your mouth with each bite. The chef knows what he’s doing. Highly recommend this place. I hope they can continue. The location is a little challenging for us. With the quality of the food this place should attract everyone in the Bay Area.

This place was great. We stopped in for restaurant week and got half gumbo, half po’boy combos.
I got the fried fish po’boy and cochon gumbo and both were excellent. The crunchy fish with their homemade remoulade was tasty.
My partner is vegetarian and she loved the jackfruit po’boy and vegan gumbo.
I would definitely add on the fries, thin with a dusting of Cajun salt!
Highly recommend the food and the people working there were kind and friendly and gave helpful recommendations!

The seaburger (fried fish sandwich) was one of the best fish sandwiches I’ve ever had!! Would come back just for that. Chicken and sausage was phenomenal too. Love this place!

The service was OUTSTANDING, and the VIBE inside was definitely the VIBE. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable of the dishes they preferred. My husband ordered the gumbo and enjoyed it a lot. I got the Shrimp Po Boy, and it was ok. The sauce was tasty, and the bun was soft. They also have social gatherings next door that educate the community of various things,including GUMBO. Stop by and enjoy.

If you’re passing through, you have to stop by and pick up a po boy for the road. The owner was so kind and made sure every customer was taken care of.
On my trip I had me the Gumbo. The roux was delicious, homemade, and hit the spot. I had a special item they don’t usually have, so mine had a little more fat on top. Normally, they skim the fat off the top.
The favors were rich and full. I could taste the earthiness of the bayleaves, the spices, and the richness of the pork.
I highly recommend if you ever get a chance to pass through.
