Was excited to finally get to try it. Food was excellent, great flavours. Cocktails were equally as impressive and standouts. Even if you go just for a drink you won’t be disappointed.
The place looks consistently busy which is great and was no exception on the midweek visit we had. For note – we had no booking on a Tuesday and were lucky to get in last minute (and there was a short queue).
The staff were lovely and very helpful even if appearing short staffed, racing about whilst still trying to be attentive to all. The cocktails did arrive after we’d received our meals but sometimes art takes a while and they were delicious.
The plate servings are small which was disappointing and a little pricey particularly for the size, needing a few to fill you up. This could be remedied by dropping a couple of dollars to align with actual size/ value.
All in all, a great place and will definitely be back in some form. Worth a visit.
Didn’t expect to find such a lovely restaurant tucked away just off Gordon Station. Both the food and the ambience genuinely impressed us.
All the steaks and prawns are cooked over woodfire, and the open kitchen really elevates the experience. Watching the chefs in action — flames, smoky aromas, and the rhythm of service — made the meal feel special and alive.
Standout dishes we loved:
• Wagyu Croquette – Beautifully presented and absolutely irresistible with black garlic aioli.
• Mediterranean Crudo – A must-try for raw fish lovers, fresh and well balanced.
• Burrata with Peach – Delicious and indulgent, especially wrapped up with the bread. Such a great combination.
• Squid Ink Tagliolini – With blue swimmer crab, tomato textures and lemon myrtle. Bold, citrusy, and full of character.
Main highlight:
• 300g Icon Wagyu Rump Cap – Juicy, smoky, and cooked perfectly over woodfire.
Dessert:
• Nonna’s Tiramisu – Light, creamy, and classic. A perfect finish.
A fantastic spot for a relaxed, high-quality meal with great atmosphere. We’ll definitely be back
The food was delicious and presented beautifully- a twist on traditional Italian food but still very enjoyable. Nonna’s Tiramisu brought some nostalgia, served from a huge ceramic dish with the spaces of previously served slices still visible.
We came on a Friday night and so it was quite busy- reservations definitely necessary.
For starters, we had the calamari and pizzeta – absolutely recommend getting the pizzeta. Its baked fresh and not too dense.
For mains we had 3 pasta dishes and the wagyu. All of them were amazing, but the highlight for me was the squid ink tagliolini.
We also had the lemon mousse and tiramisu and the tiramisu was definitely the highlight – it was very light and the flavours were really balanced.
Well done to the new owners, it was overall a memorable experience and will definitely visit again when in I’m in Sydney! ✨️
Plus, the restaurant is pet-friendly, which made our visit even better. Great food, great drinks, and a welcoming atmosphere — can’t wait to come back!
