I have been coming here for afternoon snacks and late lunches for over 30 years, and it has always been one of my favorite stops during a day of shopping. The staff consistently works very hard to provide a welcoming, smooth, and enjoyable experience.
Sunny, in particular, has been a true staple of this place for as long as I can remember. He works tirelessly to make sure everything runs seamlessly and that every guest feels genuinely cared for. After a long day of shopping, his professionalism, warmth, and attention to detail truly stand out.
I couldn’t leave without acknowledging Sunny’s efforts and the exceptional team at Bar on 4. Applause to the management for recognizing the tremendous value that Sunny and his well-trained staff bring to the overall experience.

I love lunching here whenever I’m in LA! The lobster popovers are my favorite thing in the menu but they also have great salads and the chili is amazing.
The cocktails are potent and well put together by friendly bartenders.

No joke if you want the best turkey chili Bat on 4 has it. Hands down the best chili in town. The rest of the food on the menus is delicious as well. The chicken club is a must have and lobster sandwich as well. The service is great and the team that works the bar can’t be any nicer and on point. We love going here after shopping.

I love the vibe up here and usually get the tuna salad sandwich with chutney on marble rye, toast, and potato chips. Although I don’t drink, they make beautiful cocktails that everyone seems to enjoy. I find that it’s a better menu than the third floor, and I wind up talking to people because it’s bar style seating. The bartenders and waiters are very friendly and work hard to make people happy.

Came here randomly about a year ago. Was waiting on something across the street. Figured why not get a power lunch in and Bar on 4 came up. Had fun browsing the men’s clothes and shoes while my drink was being made and then proceeded to sink it. Great margarita. Think it was around $20 and that was about 2 and a half glasses full (they left the shaker ;). And not snobby or pretentious at all by my account. I was on my gsxr (street motorcycle) in a tank top with tattered jeans and tattoos and a motorcycle helmet. Felt warm and inviting the whole store tbh.

Whether you need a break from shopping, whether you want to feel special, I think Bar on 4 is easy but fun with good menu and service place. I warn you as you walk into Neiman Marcus building, it will be pricy. but you will get what you pay in terms of service and food.
I did enjoy my ‘rose risky’ cocktail made by Nicole who was very friendly and knowledgeable. I actually can’t wait to go back when she works there to try other cocktails and food.
I got to try dessert ‘creme bulee’ which was well made – creamy, smooth, with fresh fruit toppings.
They share same kitchen with a restaurant next door. You can also get the restaurant menu if you kindly ask the server.
