Ordered menudo and it was good. It was a little bit more liquidy than I like and not as spicy as I prefer however those are personal preference. The pansa and hominy were cooked to perfection. It has a great taste. I would definitely recommend and will buy again

I’ll have to say, the attendant was beyond beautiful & kind….i sampled one before I decided to make my 2 dozen purchase. I thought they tasted similar to the ones I have purchased in the past from the saucedo tamale factory. So where I wasn’t completely sold, I had already made the drive & no one else had any (that I had called)
I should’ve gone with my gut instinct & just bought them at Rosa’s cafe (& theirs aren’t that great either). I was looking for those authentic tamales, like the ones you get at Garibaldys across the coliseum (they were closed)
Needless to say, I need to start making my own so I’m not getting constantly disappointed with taste & quality. I’ll be calling for a refund & im hoping they are as kind as they were when I handed over my card to pay $41.60 Rhe one I sampled was okay However, the second one I got when I arrived home, well as much as I tried to smother it in the salsa & lemon (that the nice girl at the window added in my bag) They were still a bit tough, as if they’d been there a while…..I won’t knock them, I’m sure not all the food is the same. But tamales is not their forte.

The quality of their tamales, no matter which ones you try are nasty. Dry, scimpy on the inside and too much masa !! La Nortena has become the least favorite place of mine to eat. The cost is too high for scimpy insides. You are better off buying privately made food . Made better and better quality. Worth the price.

The Ladies were very nice and professional.Service was pretty quick. Didn’t have to wait when I ordered some tamales for my husband for dinner. They were a lifesaver. He really liked them, the tamales . Thank you

Service is always good. And food is always good also. Tamales and menudo and breakfast burritos. And varieties of other choices also.

The food looks good. The only thing I go for is the spicy tamales i guess they don’t make them anymore. Even the regular tamales have become bland. I would go here once or twice a week, I can’t stand what has happened to this place the person running it needs to be prosecuted lol

The place is very small, no more than five tables. The cashier at the drive-thru is a sweetheart — super kind and helpful.
As for the food, it ended up being similar to many good homemade Mexican-style dishes, but their tortillas and corn products aren’t great — they taste sweet and end up killing the good flavor.

It was mid. Had the barbacoa and flavor was lacking. Nothing special. One member in the party loved the spicy beef empanadas. The menudo isn’t worth the trip. There’s a couple of 2 person tables is all.

So far these are the Best Tamales in Texas I had the pork Tamales they had a nice savory salty filling and the My side wasn’t a paste. It actually had some texture and a bite to it.
