Reviews
We are new to Mansfield and decided to try Chicken Salad Chick a couple weeks after they opened. It was 12:15 pm on a Tuesday when we were here. It was semi-crowded but the line was short.
This was our first time so it took us a while to survey the menu board. We asked a few questions as well and the staff was very helpful.
There were two of us and we ordered as follows:
– Melt Sandwich on a Croissant with Original Chicken Salad and Provolone Cheese plus a cup of Poblano and Chicken Soup
– The Chick as a Sandwich on a Croissant with Original Chicken Salad plus a cup of Poblano and Chicken Soup
– Large Fountain Drink
– Each soup came with 3 packs of crackers
– Each meal came with a small cookie
THE FOOD
In short, we love it. the sandwiches were great. My wife’s croissant was toasted and I had my croissant not-toasted. I tried her’s and I liked it more. It added a bit of crunch and more depth of flavor. The original chicken salad was great. But guess what? They have 15 varieties! We’ll try other one’s on our next visit.
The soup was real tasty. It had just a small amount of kick to it as well. The consistency had a bit of thickness to it but not too much. We enjoyed it.
The small cookie they serve with each meal was very sweet and tasty.
OTHER
They use an order number system where you’re given an order number sign that you place on your table. Staff delivers your order to your table along with silverware. A holder with napkins are on each table.
They also have a staff member that constantly roams the store, clearing plates and such from tables and confirming that everything is well with your meal. Nice touch and the woman was quite pleasant.
I downloaded their app and signed up for their rewards program. I’m not sure just yet, what and how much you earn as a function of your spend. I did earn a dollar off my next order for doing their online survey. The info on the survey is at the bottom of the receipt. I ended up going back up to the order counter before we left to purchase a small container of their pimento cheese product. I was able to use the one dollar discount too.
See you next time Chicken Salad Chick!
It was a fun grand opening event with the Mayor there and a ribbon cutting.
The food was fantastic! Came with some crackers and they have a ton of deserts as well as a quick pick up/to go display at the front.
The staff was really fantastic and friendly! The food was ready in about 2 minutes after ordering!
The restaurant was super clean and had nice colors and calm music!
Definitely recommend!
They’ve got something for everyone!
BLUF: you can get a delicious, 3-course meal for less than $20 without going into a food coma; great for a quick work lunch.
I can’t stand mayo or salad dressing. So i was pleasantly surprised to find they offer great alternatives that utilize different sauces as their base.
I enjoyed “The Chick” and made it a Trio.
It’s a 3 course meal for under $20 that doesn’t make you pass out. Great for a lunch break from work.
I started out with their Soup of the Day, Chicken Tortilla. It was a great balance of spices and just the right level of ooey gooey cheesiness, the veggies and tortilla chips creating a beautiful texture.
I next transitioned to my main course, the Sassy Scotty. The mouthfeel was perfect – not too mushy at all! The ranch was not overpowering, but instead complimeted the juicy chicken and savory cheese blend. Paired with an ample amount of crackers, it was filling and satiating. Your macros are covered – fats (cheese), protein (chicken), and carbs (crackers). On the side I had their viral Grape Salad. Not toothache sweet, but instead a balance to the salty chicken salad. Lastly i finished with just the right amount of sugar – their mini buttercream frosted cookie. Melt in your mouth magic!
The meal leaves you ready to tackle your afternoon, not snooze through it.
Dining in? Comfy booths and big tables for whatever your group size! And clean well-maintained bathrooms to boot. There’s even witty commentary for you to read during your potty break.
Wanna meal prep for the weekend?
Grab one of their prepped containers from their fridge section.
But the real gem here is the owner.
I came from dallas, and ran into another beautiful family who drove in from Arlington – all of us to celebrate the success of a phenomenal person. I know several Sicilians, both American and Italian. He’s a walking example of how hard-working and splendid they are.
Cheers to the amazing team who made my meal great
