Cozy corner restaurant specializing in simple Italian fare, including homemade pasta & osso buco.

I felt obligated to write this review. We were a table of 5 people with a 7:30 reservation. It was originally 7:15 but the restaurant called and asked if we could accommodate 7:30 which was no problem. It’s a small, quaint restaurant with an independent vibe and charm. Service wasn’t so much slow as it was nonexistent. 8pm came and still nothing. Right around 8:10 the bread was dropped off. It was at this point the male server actually verbally apologized and said someone would take our order soon. Our appetizers came out around 9:10. One hour and forty min after our seating time lol.
The calamari Fra Diablo app wasn’t tossed in marinara but rather swimming in a very thin bland tomato water. The meatballs were above average and prob the best bite of food I had that night. Clams were fine.
My veal chop was good and cooked medium as I’d ordered. The risotto it was served with was a travesty. Absolutely no flavor and I question weather arborio rice was used although I can’t confirm. This risotto is obviously prepared using water and not stock. You can tell a lot about a restaurant by its risotto and this risotto wasn’t good, unfortunately.
Looking back at the experience, our lasting impression is that no one at Totaro’s cared. You would think after waiting so long someone would have come to the table after the meal and apologized or threw us a free dessert – something. Something that says “we know we screwed up, please give us another chance”. No such luck. They will not get another chance. We will not return. It’s a shame because it is a charming little place and I’m also a small business owner who realizes the value of customer service. Maybe this review will help them address the issues both in and out of the kitchen. Best of luck!

Best Italian food! Fresh pasta. The calamari was perfect (not pictured). Vegetable lasagna was scrumptious. Australian Striped bass was savored by our guest. The artichoke and red pepper pasta was extremely tasty. 10/10 would recommend. We continue to go back ourselves. Also, if you have the calories to spare get Grandma’s cake, well worth it! We split 2 appetizers and 2 desserts between 4 of us. Fresh baked bread with homemade olive oil is in the house. The seating was a little tight, we were shifting plates on our small table frequently. It’s a cozy place, dimly lit, and can be loud.

Great little place in Conshohocken with homemade pasta! Selection was great… Plenty of options and specials. The bruschetta with burrata was over the top and love the pancetta wrapped shrimp.
All the entrées were well prepared and tasty. The service was very slow. I believe we were forgotten about. Dinner took three hours. ( or more)
The olive oil is awesome! I forgot to get a bottle to go … great for dipping the bread – you need no other seasonings❤️
Will definitely be back …. Soon!

10/10 byob Italian restaurant. We had a rehearsal dinner here, and the food and service far exceed expectations. Everything was taken care of. Appetizers included antipasto, breads, salad, cheeses and calamari. Multiple main courses to choose from and they were all spectacular. Smaller sizers of pasta dishes but that are actually good beats massive piles of pasta that are just okay. And the desserts! Again, spectacular. The ambience and quaintness of the place made you feel like you were in Italy. Could not have asked for a better night and service. The daughter of the owners who was running the show this night and was as good as they come in the restaurant business.

First date spot for my fiance and I years ago- we come back on a fairly regular basis. Mom and pop style place with amazing food and homemade pasta! Price is right for the size and quality dishes you receive – oh and BYOB! My favorite Italian restaurant in Philly/surrounding area

Don’t go for NYE. We have been wanting to try this restaurant for awhile and went for the first time on New Year’s Eve. We were disappointed that price fixe menu was not advertised online, so it was a surprise when we got there. Despite the menu stating 4 courses, we were charged extra for dessert even though it was the last course of the price fixe menu. The shrimp scampi only had 2-3 shrimp in it, and the pasta trio was cold. Overall we were disappointed and won’t be returning, but we’re unsure if things are typically like this or if this is due to going on a holiday.

5 stars just isn’t enough! Seriously my favorite place in all of conshy, if not favorite of all time. Every time we have people in town we bring them here. The food is amazing and the service is great!
The tortellini milano and bolognese are usually our go-to’s! And can’t forget some tiramisu or grandmas chocolate cake for dessert.

A hidden gem in Conshohocken and a must go to BYOB! The food is outstanding and the service is impeccable. It’s a family owned and run business, that offers a personable touch. Also, a wonderful place to have a micro wedding or baby shower, graduation or special dinner. There is seating both indoors and outside. Try to make a reservation, as seats fill up fast. I highly recommend for all Italian food lovers, the bruschetta is a must have starter!

Wow! This place is phenomenal. Some of the best Italian food I’ve ever had, and definitely want to come back ASAP. the restaurant is very cute inside, but can get a bit noisy! They have a BYOB policy, which was really nice. They put our bottles on ice and opened them for us! Wine glasses already set up on the table when we arrived. The food was incredible. We got the bruschetta and calamari as appetizers, both delicious. I got the saltimbocca veal for an entree, which was cooked to perfection and came out so hot! Was to die for! The dessert was also great, we got the tiramisu and chocolate cake. Definitely worth coming for a great dinner!
